  1. i dont use parser or ACT etc, but i checked fflogs, and how come my character has stats on some duties does fflogs register logs when ppl parse the duties but u dont?

well on Hephaistos its saying as RDM i have

    Highest rDPS – 7,137.4
    65 Best %
    Kills 2

compared to my very first fight which says rDPS – 5,562.0 i dont know if thats good or bad to improve, while not being able to use those parsers personally lol

  2. Darknut is "the hardest" for like four seconds right at start of the pull, and then achieves low-moderate difficulty every two minutes or so when a bunch of buttons come off CD all at the same time.

It and Warrior are EZ as hell. Fukken Pali and Gunbuster have actual rotations you gotta keep on top of, and I'm over her like "oh it's Delirium time again."

  3. They say difficulty to justify making warrior bad? That statement is just a lie.

They made a statement that said exactly opposite: difficulty doesnt contribute towards damage.

It's a poor mindset and a bit ableist. What if you play a certain job bc you are physically limited? Neurologically specific? Its subjective. So many claim gnb is hard and war is easy. War is easy for me. But gnb is imo the easiest tank. You don't have to think about gauge with gnb. You just don't overcap, you hit everything on cooldown. There's some adjustment but not really. It does damage as long as you do those things. What if you just prefer the "easier" job?

Scholar is easy, but I prefer whm bc whm doesnt have fairy ghosting. I dont have to place/move my shit on a disappearing floor bc SE forgets that limitation and thinks it only effects markers (p7s). Its mostly the ghosting and the slow fairy. After almost 7y, I got tired of it, even though sch is my favorite healer. And I hate ast. Ast is not a controller friendly healer. So that mindset is trash.

I also wish fflogs wouldn't count of you die. I died today bc the other tank didn't stack for P6S tankbuster. P8S p1, I died bc the healers didn't heal my bleed (like they just never did and I even used superboile). So I get bad score? Don't keep scores with deaths. I mean it somewhat makes sense, to see if a player dies to mechanics a lot, but I consider it a void score. It's not (completely) accurate

Thanks for telling people to not use FFlogs to bully. I recently hid mine. I'm not necessarily low (mid purple to orange percentile) for only doing weeklies in PF, but if I die for any reason and got 1 green, I'd be bullied for it. This was so bad, that I'd feel devastated dying or even a damage down. Horrible anxiety. Getting parses just to not get bullied.

People could see what you're talking about but forget fflogs limitations. For example I complained that I had to heal too much, so they'd look seeing I overhealed cure 3 like 3x on a full party. But what really happened is i casted a heal to hit players doing a mechanic to heal them and then only need 1 C3 (think cleanses in garuda uwu). Literally the melees just didn't cleanse, so i look bad. FFLOGS isn't going to tell you that. And people don't go back into streams often and even that doesn't matter if they don't even think to look for it.

I had a toxic top player bully me bc I didn't DB often on whm. fflogs will not tell you that I didn't use it bc I was just going to bene the tank anyway. Otherwise, I do use DB on CD. I'm talking CYBERBULLYING to extreme.

  4. When you have 2 melees and Card rng fucks you in the ass with only melee cards, you have no choice but to card a tank in an even minute window. Following the 3-1-3 card rule. This occurs more frequently than i would like to admit. Sadly.

  5. Ex-Mythic raider getting into savage and having so much more fun than i did on WoW – Thank you for explaining this to people HOWEVER Like people say about work – Live within your means – It applies to parses too, parse within your means. Dont go spend 2 mil on pots and food for a month if youre the only one in the static doing it.
ALSO – 7:207:40 – YES: even top end wow players, we didnt use it to shit on people and if you did you probably werent as top end as you thought, When im spending more time on my druid than i am at work then i dont have time to flex on kids, im doing math and working on my BiS and theorycrafting how to beat my last parse because i know i fucked up something and can squeeze at least 10 more HPS out of my druid on Powershifting. – ALSO dont forget about replay tab; if youre having trouble with a tactic and pre-positioning for it; seeing where top clears are standing and moving on the map is a good way to learn.

  6. the main problem with Samurai for example is that it's gameplay doesn't change, you just gain a filler attack locked behind an Energy Bar for no reason.
Ninja, while not as crippled as Samurai has kind of a similar problem, before 6.1 you had to perform Suiton as Ninjutsu to get to use Trickattack to contribute to the raid, makes sense right?
Nah just press Mug and you're good, your complicated Trickattack Stuff will just serve yourself now (because Ninja is known for being a selfish dps.. am I right?)
6.1, from a Rotation Identity Point of View was a Severe Mistake.

  7. I feel when they say they take difficulty into account, they mean melee keeping uptime, casters not breaking cast, that kind of thing and not necessarily about the rotation itself. That lines up with why they said paladin was weaker, because it was 'easier' to keep uptime.

  8. astro will probably be top healer again week 8 onward when they can be in a party with full bis players which increases their rDPS by a lot, not everyone can contribute to its rDPS as well in the early stages of a tier from people lacking gear and not being as comfortable with the fights.

  9. I disagree on the part that difficulty is purely subjective. It can be measured by the number of OGCD the player has available to him at the start of a fight because that is all the ways a player can mess up just on step one of an opener. Not to mention all the incorrect permutations of those abilities as he executes it. No way Dnc is on same lvl as nin in difficulty.

  10. Great information! Xenosys can you explain the so called "taxes"? A SAM got angry at me recently and they asked me to remove Dance Partner (Closed Position) from them because "they didn't want dancer tax"? Huh.

  11. I highly recommend looking at where mits r used (tanks/healers mainly) by the best players. And how the best healers heal. The amount of times i noticed a completely useless Medica 2 going out, or a sage using an aoe GCD shield because they dont have either holos or kerachole is staggering.

The only times u ever, ever resort to GCD heals that do not contribute to dmg (neutral sect not included here) is when u need to make up for a handicap, such as ur co healer is dead and u need to top off the entire party alone, or u have 25/50% weakness and there is a tough heal phase coming.

Tanks, always have ur macro set up for sharing ur short CD with ANYONE (mouseover command <mo>). U will be using it on ur co tank pretty much exclusively but it goes a long way to save that random squishy from dying too.

And dont use mits last second. Ive seen and had ppl die because a reprisal magically missed to cover the snapshot on one person, or even the entire party. Buff aoe mits r slow to come out, give it a good 2-3 s b4 the castbar finishes. Mits last 10-15 s u have plenty of wiggle room for using stuff early. Rare exceptions r precise timings to cover more than one snapshot that r close to 10 or 15 s apart.

  12. I wish healing/mitigation usage was calculated in the tanks and healers parse so that we dont have shitters who never use a single reprisal and get 99s or healers who let their cohealers do all the work so they can do damage.

  13. Job difficulty has no place in damage balance. Players should be able to choose what is fun to them, and learn to maximize their output, not be forced to pick a job because of its potential output.

  14. I feel this video could also have displayed the number 1 prog tool in FFLogs, the replay tab and the deaths tab. Want to know why the fuck someone died when they were supposedly in the right position? These are the places you look for. Replay shows you the position of a player for the entire fight, so you can move the timeline to the mechanic that wiped the group and see if maybe someone was a bit to the left or to the right and that caused the wipe. Death recap lets you know if it was an actual one shot or a healing failure, and so forth.

If you're progging a tier, put FFlogs on auto upload, so you can easily check any wipe for these kind of things.

  15. I notice that astros have lower average but have the highest max score (indicated by the dot), which indicates the max potential of Astro will be shown when players are naturally more geared.

  16. When boss is down, boss is down. I don't get anything for downing him "better". Loot stays the same. If this was like a competitive game like, say LoL for example, with ingame ranking and rewards based on my rank, it'd be worth caring. But as I said, loot stays the same, no matter how "good" or "bad" you killed the boss. In the end: you killed the boss, done. Nothing to improve there. No title, glam or mount gained from beating the boss faster. Its just empty.
