I’ve been waiting for this game forever to come to Xbox, and I’m excited to play it when it does.
People keep saying the beta is coming in October with the next update NOT happening it's most likely after patch 6.55 in January.
6.5 October
6.55 January
6.5x after that
Yes! I was worried about my save on pc as I played it before and I would not want to do it again!
They just need to add cloud support and id buy it in a heartbeat for Xbox. I can remote in to my desktop but I really would love support for playing 14 on the go. Or….while I'm doing mindless medical records tasks that take 0% brain power, I could be multitasking! Need to get my crystals for the patches and vendors don't collect themselves.
I've got hundreds if not thousands of hours played and I am so excited to play it again I havent played it since series x came out cause I dont go back to my ps4 pro. The hardest choice is do I create a new character or use one of my existing ones?
As far as classes you will level faster as a tank or healer to start out with because when you go to join the game instances you que up faster almost instantly.
Xbox ruined FF…Again.
Take your time and enjoy the game your way.
Question. If I want to play this game on both PS 4 and Xbox/PC, and already have a subscription, how do I go about it? Can I just buy the starter edition on the system I want to play it on? I'd rather not buy the entire set a second time of I can avoid it due to funds.
X-Box players need to know to not pick Lalafell as their race.
I been off and on ff14 since it launched. Every guild I join seems to be dead or people that play once a month these days though. Hoping with Xbox launch there will be more active guilds. Kinda wish they would add world chat make it easier to find a guild.
The Xbox Beta is mentioned on the official page of what's being added in 6.5 and Series S/X controller support is mentioned in the patch notes, so I'm guessing the Xbox beta starts tomorrow. I could be wrong though.
I feel dumb that I had zero idea I could log into my account on any platform. I have a PS5 collecting dust and there have been many times I could have used it instead of the PC. Colour me dumb and ty. for the tidbit of info. I’m not sure why I never considered it as cross platform has been around forever now. 🤦♂️
Just to add my two cents for anyone looking to start playing FFXIV for the first time. This was my first. MMO (definitely not my first RPG) and to be completely honest, the story did not resonate with me at all and I wanted to stop several times. For whatever reason I pushed myself to get through the MSQ and let me say, the true FFXIV experience (imo) is endgame content. I am now practically addicted to this game and play daily (for months on end). Had I just stuck with the trial I would have never continued and missed out on some of the most fun I’ve had in gaming period. It ultimately depends on what you enjoy doing – I love high level raiding / extremes / dungeons etc etc.. and most jobs / classes don’t fully realize until level 90. I’m not telling anyone NOT to try the trial and go straight into purchasing the game. But if you like those types of things the game gets exponentially better past what is offered in the trial.
The pushback against subscription games has never ever made sense to me. A movie ticket costs the same amount, so if you play a subscription game for more than 2 hours per month it's already a better entertainment investment than going to the cinema.
