  1. If they aren’t blind, then Max shouldn’t be so disingenuous by selling the stream content as blind prog. He didn’t cheat the game but he did cheat his audience and his own learning experience—not by chat but by looking up guides before even pulling the boss once. I really disliked his stream personality from the start so probably some confirmation bias going on here but came as no surprise when the drama came out exposing him.

  2. I thought he quit XIV after his chat called him out for being dishonest about doing blind prog? The evidence is obvious unfortunately. But that's the problem. I can't support someone who is dishonest like that. Ninja_Max and THD were the best part of him playing.

  3. It doesn't mean a god damn thing. How many FF14 players even care about Esports? Very little from what I've seen, and this isn't Activision/Blizzard trying to hype up Esports in their games.

  4. please avoid comenting on sujects you clearly know little about. The problem isn t Limit going blind when doing Eden (they can go however they want), the problem was they said they were blind and they werent: thus, they were lying, and that doesnt go a long way in matters of trust. Also, it wasn t a matter of "chat chattering" it was matter of Max knowing strats before they even occur. So, when comenting about something, please make sure you have all the info instead comenting "hear saying"

  5. In the long run, it means nothing. MMOs as a whole don't make good streaming content unless it's driven by the player. Things like weekly caps mean that you won't see high end content regularly. Most of it is going to be one and dones. Grinding relics might extend that a bit though.

  6. My concern during the WoW > FFXIV exodus was that WoW's e-sport community would have a negative impact on FFXIV. Somehow this isn't making me feel any better. This is a personal opinion, but I don't think increasing a focus on e-sports does anything good for mmorpgs.

  7. 6:50 there were blind in Pandaemonium…..jeaaah of course there were blind. Sry not. If they were blind then why was Naguura watching the whole race on differend Streams just to give Max and his Crew the Instructions how other Grps doing the Mechanics?

  8. Yeah we don’t need wow’s esport community here. Next thing would be wow’s boost selling crowd coming over. And given how toxic those communities have proven to be many of us would prefer they stay on Azeroth and keep huffing copium.

  9. this is no excuse, and personality wise i dislike max, but as far as i understood him and scripe describing how the wow world first race goes, this is actuely "blind" for them, by one group raids, goes sleeping, one group gets up starts raiding the same both looks what the others did, berat the boss do the enxt go sleeping and so on, like limit goes to sleep because they are first, scripes team gets up looks what happened and so on.

not realy what we as ff14 players udnerstand as blind,b ut thats their world frst "blind" race. no excuse, especialy since they should have known thats not what ff14 understands under blind clear.

  10. It's not that he watched a guide that people cared about… it's the fact that he claimed to be blind and lied about it to his team and his stream. His 'Aha' moments were so disingenuous and even shitting on his teammates for doing what he claimed to not have done makes it kind of an awful thing to witness

  11. Nobody cares. Much less from your majority audience/followers of FF14 players. Also, Chris needs to calm his boot licking on max or wow related for the future of FF14. FF14 players don't really care on what wow has or has not. Move on from whatever copium or denial you're in.

  12. It blows my mind what a fan boy Chris turned out to be. He probably got completely lost in his neverending analogies and is blind to a truth. Several FF14 world-first racers who do this for years analized Max's play and agreed he was being dishonest about going blind. And as was many times said, no one cares if you go blind or not, but being dishonest to your audience is the problem. Pandaemonium is different story, we know they are good and can clear it. But pretending to have god like IQ and ability to predict future is messed up. I am surprised that you are actually supporting this. I can see Chris now screaming in the middle of the Limit's crowd "Max I want to have your baby!"….

  13. I really don't care for the Max going blind; or not, part, it's more of him being dishonest and trying to play it off like he has some God-level-Future-seeing IQ. That is where I draw the line with that. In the end, idc because they are good players, but be honest when saying you're going Blind or Not. As for the Esports portions, sure it would last in the case of XIV if we had a solid foundation for PvP and Limit were PvP players in XIV. But, from what I've seen they're only Raiders. Sure it'll be a good dosage for new players/fresh eyes on the game when they see the new Ultimate Prog(when and if they cover that in their Podcast/ESPN dealio), and fresh prog on P5-8S, but those are weekly loot locked things. Most people that do high end raiding only go in for the clear, then wait until Tuesday to Reclear. If Limit's squad were PvPers and XIV's PvP was in a really good spot(unsure how the 6.1 update will do so I'll only judge based off current PvP), then yeah there'd be hope for XIV to get the spotlight. XIV's only gonna get the spotlight at these Podcasts when Limit's team clears/progs the new Ultimate, and Prog/clears on the new Savages. That's it, cause Limit's squad is a Raiding Group only as far as I've seen(from what little I've actually seen tbf). WoW, and Other Games, are gonna get the majority of the screentime, and to think otherwise is honestly some copium. On that note, to see Limit's team get this for XIV and other MMOs and no other static out there that's been playing XIV for a long period of time with a high level of skill/showmanship not to get this sorta support is honestly a bit disappointing.(sorry for the run on sentence there) I'd rather see other Long Term XIV Raiders do the coverage of XIV, than some group that's only been playing this game for a couple of months.

  14. pre-joke: if you google ashesof creation release date. google says 9/24/19 (2 years ago XD)

limit max's grp finished p4s at 38, and echo finished at 56. limit's grp went by the name elephant herd. max said his grp was completely blind, but theres clips of him saying "watch xeno's clip of this mechanic" in p3s and he was using other week 1 grp's all day streamathon to not get stuck. (personally i give zero shits, but if you say you're gonna do something blind, dont brag about being blind and then use streams of other ppl to figure out mechanics) echo was blind too. theres some drama because echo offically lists their kill of p4s as a fully blind run, and limit did too, but then took it down and just said "p4s week" also there's the 2 weeks where limit tried to run all of eden savage blind, but they were straight taking strats from other runs, and max would throw thd (his blm) under the bus for knowning strats ahead of time when he was clearly using other strats, theres videos of sfia, happy, xeno, sindalf, momo, all calling out max on lying about being blind. hell even echo has this blind meme with the sunglasses. whenever they talk about limit they put the sunglasses on for being "blind"

  15. I'm usually on the same page but was very disappointed by the takes in this video. There are (several) videos that showcase very clear and obvious signs that the progression is not blind, the discussion about how chat spammed emotes and how they sometimes wiped to mechanics was completely pointless and made no sense, even if you know the fight you still wipe to mechanics even years later due to mistakes, if anything it makes claiming a blind prog easier when it happens.
"Does it matter"? It matters when the claim is that the run is blind, yes. It wasn't, the discussion into this is pointless.
No-one cares if you watch guides for old content, just be honest.
I'm noticing a trend of analogous tangents to avoid taking any hard stance on topics which is disappointing, hoping this isn't a trend for W2G going forward
