This is basically my PTO getting stabbed and being reborn as PTI. It even apologizes as it flees away.
Halric is not evil. He's actually just a child afflicted with corrupted Light Aether. He's physically sick, in pain, and his very soul is forced into stagnation. He's a kid sentenced to a slow, painful, silent death, not even able to express anything, least of all his suffering. And again, he's just a child. That's just as messed up as Tesleen's fate. Blaming him for what happened is completely unfair. He couldn't even control his body when it decided to heed the call of the Sin Eater. Worst of all, Tesleen is the person who took care of him through it all, and he was forced to witness her demise and be the instrument that led to her tragic end.
Every time I see this I think of Full Metal Alchemist..and that scene we don't talk about. >.<
