In today’s video Liffeh and his friends try out the newly released Virtual Reality FFXIV Mod and things went just about as you would expect. Exploring the world of Final Fantasy XIV in VR is incredible in many ways, and absolutely awful in others, and we made this video to show you what a this popular MMORPG looks like in VR.

  1. It's so cool how the UI curves around your face, but mostly looks the same as the in-game first-person cam, but with more perspective! As a rper, there have been tons of times where I just walked around the world or did a dungeon in first-person to really get immersed! I also like taking gpose pictures in over-the-shoulder perspectives like in action games, so I think it would be cool if ffxiv had the option for that camera angle too!
I hope you don't get banned, and that FFXIV devs actually take VR into consideration moving forward! It actually looks like a VR game I wouldn't get motion sickness from!
(though honestly you'd have a better chance of not being banned if you quit BEFORE you found Y'shtola lol) But even so when Renlay said "I wish I could give G'raha more kisses" 19:08 I was like YES!!!!!

  2. I have been playing in VR for a few weeks now and I have to say that I love it, though I zoom out for fights until they get the better first person where you can see your body in that they have on the road map. I feel that playing in VR is so much better than normal mode just because of how much more of the world you see from the eyes of your toon.

  3. Should someone tell them? I'm gonna tell them…
The last time that I've seen a GM ban someone for using mods on stream/youtube, they set the ban term to x+1 week (give or take), where x is equal to the time it takes for the "offending material" to be removed from vods/youtube channel. In short (clears throat): make backups everyone! make them while you still can!
