Wanted to try something different this month and cover the biggest 5 news stories of December 2021 in the world of Final Fantasy 14. I thought it would be fun to recap some of the funny, interesting or dramatic things happening in FFXIV over the last month (keeping it mostly spoiler free of MSQ events).

For some reason I feel like 'news recaps' aren't that common among ff14 ppl.
Like we certainly do when it *happens*, but in heavy detail (ala speakers network).
Not many channels do it on a more general basis, which I think is a lot more approachable to the average viewer
is the Christmas event still here? I didn't know about it when does it end if it is still up?
Is not just grapes, but the viera YEEAAARGHH was also patched away!

I like this shorter and to the point version of what's been going on. It'll also be nice for people who joins the FFXIV community later to be able to have these recaps of events they weren't here for.

whispers The Bunny bois weren't supposed to exist. The dev team said they were done with f!viera and m!hrothgar and that's it. No new races, no bunbois, no hrothgals. Done.
But people wanted them so So SO much, they announced it during fanfest. Although I was one of the people who kept on believing but not much of a fan of f!vieras, I was sincerely sobbing from the news back then xD As much as I love my original miqoboi, I really wanted to be a bunboi as soon as viera were first announced (imagine the disappointment when the said "nope, no bunbois") but a lot of people believed because in 1.0 there were no Roegandyn women and Cat boys (until 2.0) so people had hope that they (bunbois and hrothgals) would come some day. So, a lot of people (including me) are now waiting to see how the hrothgals look like ^^
The grapes were part of a graphical downgrade for the launch, tho, it has been implied that they weren't supposed to be.

In response to server load issues, I basically just took a break from the game what played something else. I mean I literally have fun of the games other MMO‘s in an extensive library of single player game that I had basically just put to the side. I guess you could say they got lost in the sauce. And now I am in the process of digging them out again.
Weird thing I don't think I really seen that many bunny boys seen a few everytime I go to a city but never feel like the were all that meny guess maybe just wasn't paying much attention I guess
