Top 10 things in FFXIV to actually do

The main issue I usually find when I try to involve my friends with FFXIV is that usually I’m unable to convince them to play the game because they’ll ask me: what is there to even do, and I’m left speechless. not necessarily because the game has no content but because I’m just caught off guard and haven’t memorized a list of things to actually go and do. So here’s a list of things to go and do #FFXIV #top10

  1. nah this is not even close to the worst thing about trying to convince your pals to play
I have a buddy who is level 60 still doing Realm Reborn msq and he is quickly running out of patience when i tell him "no seriously it gets good bro wait until you get to heavensward." Then, when he finally gets to heavensward, he's gonna be so fucking burnt out he will drop the game and I won't be able to blame him one bit. This isn't the games fault I know, but man the amount of ridiculous filler in the msq is mind boggling.
And yes, I know he can also pay irl money to skip it, but where's the fun in that? Plus, he won't even know the relevant story. Then, what, I tell him to watch an hours long story recap on youtube that would put me to sleep no matter how many monsters i drink? I'm already all caught up on everything from playing for years, but man, it's really frustrating getting a new player into this game. Then they dumbed down the jobs and combat so that jobs don't even feel complete or meaningful until at least level 60 or 70 in some cases? Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

  2. go get the BLU weapon from the guys for allied seals, it's a higher ilevel than the wolf staff unless you already got it but have it glamoured. I've seen far too many ppl without the allied sealed weapon.

  3. BLU is by far the most underrated content in the game, and it’s because of its initial perception. I was at fanfest 2018 when they revealed it and LET ME TELL YOU THE TALK ABOUT LIMITED JOBS WAS THE MOST AWKWARD THING IVE EVER SAT THROUGH, but it’s now one of my favorite reasons to play the game

  4. I know that PvP is not a high praised thing in this game but I really love it! I do front lines, duels and the solo ranked feast and I love it all!
Sadly you need to join the PvP discord and find the correct time to queue up or else you will be stuck cuz nobody is playing

  5. FF14 Players: "I hate MSQ. I find the story incredibly boring."
Also FF14 Players on every goddamn patch day: "Damn I'm so far behind :(, anyone want to help me through Stormblood?"

At a certain point you just stop asking people to come back because it's always going to be like this with them.

  6. This game burned me the fuk out a year ago, and i quit. but now its probably my favorite game since i already went through 90% of the msq last time i played it. I love all the content, but the msq is a wall for alot of people. I never gave a fuck about story i wow either, i just wanted to play with my freinds.
