Dear people from the future,
This is an orchestral cover of ‘Tomorrow and Tomorrow’ (Eorzean Symphony ver.) from Final Fantasy XIV’s expansion Shadowbringers.
It is originally composed by Masayoshi Soken, arranged by Sachiko Miyano with lyrics by Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and performance by Amanda Achen and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

« A whole year has passed since the ‘Flow’ collab cover I made with Clef Heima and Nicole Chang came to life. It was the beginning of a beautiful journey where I met many great musicians who became my friends. It was also the starting point of adventures into the realm of video game music. I’m so thankful to them and to you, dear people watching my videos. That’s the reason why today, I want to give you our interpretation of a very meaningful song: Tomorrow and Tomorrow.

Some months ago, I discovered the Eorzean Symphony concert and I was very moved by the new arrangement that Square Enix music team offered to us. I kept watching it, feeling a deep inspiration. Emotions running through my body, I knew I wanted to pay tribute. And then, the project was born.

I am absolutely fascinated by Sleeping Penguin, who recreated this arrangement in some weeks, if not days. He managed to transcribe everything so well… His work is truly to be acclaimed. And just the same, we wouldn’t be anywhere without the amazing Tsukino Crystal to grace us with her piano performance. Last but not least, again, Nicole Chang enchanted the whole atmosphere with her harp playing full of feels. Thank you for working on this project altogether. »

NB: an alternative acoustic version is available on streaming platforms!

(On a side note, Emet-Selch sent a threatening letter after our ‘Neath Dark Waters’ cover and there were traces of tears on the paper. I hope he’ll be more honest next time)

  2. Well well well, best birthday gift ever. This rendition is perfect, and I get the same goosebumps as when I listen to Amanda's. Your voice has the same power as hers! Love it!

  3. Well I was certainly hoping this piece was on your list!

Your vocal control and reinterpretation of the piece is as warm and exquisite as always. Tsukino's phrasing is light, hopeful, and sweet! Props to Sleeping Penguin's majestic accompaniment and Nicole's performance offers that icing on the cake–the celestial layer that brings it all together.

(A worthy anthem for the Crystarium.)

Well done to all of you! ❤

  4. Fantastic, as usual. Your voice is amazing! Also, as an aside: I love when you do that horizontal line across your face with the makeup. I don't know if there's a name for it, but I've never seen anyone else do that and it looks really cool. Not too long ago I made an alt character in Final Fantasy XIV and I wanted her to have something like that. They don't have exactly the same thing, but there is an option for a little horizontal scar across the nose bridge. It's subtle, but it adds a bit of flair. Anyway, maybe it's weird but thought I'd share that you at least partly inspired my character's look in FFXIV.
