  1. There are people who live in the cave near/at (somewhere around, i don't quite remember, but it's in a cave along/under the namazu) who tell you about the house of the crooked coin. Basically, they were greedy…

  2. The conversation with Y'shtola regarding the deaspected crystals was separate from her explaining the sacred relics. The deaspected crystals had nothing to do with Yotsuyu. The deaspected crystals are referring to crystals that were devoid of energy. Y'shtola later mentions that around the sacred site where you restore the flow of either to the burn, that the area surrounding it seemed to be mostly devoid of energy. When talking with Urianger later Y'shtola mentions that she saw a phenomenon she wanted to ask Urianger, and Urianger responded with something along the lines of "I presume thou refereth to the localized reduction in etheric density", to which Y'shtola replied "I noticed exactly that at two seemingly unconnected locations" (The Azim Steppe and Doma [deaspected crystals]), to which Urianger mentioned that similar has been seen in other places across Eorzea as well, before promptly collapsing. (Note that everything said above was said in patch 4.4)

  3. Hoary Boulder and Coultenet are both Scions, they joined at the end of ARR. Shadowbringers is my favorite because it was the first expansion where I really started to see the forest through the trees. Endwalker was good, but I will always maintain ShB was better. Honestly it's like the difference between 80% dark chocolate and 85% to me, but it is still a difference.

  4. I've loved watching you guys on your journey through Final Fantasy. In a way, doing it a little bit at a time is probably the best way to do it. It gives you time to think and reflect. It took me almost 3 months to get through Endwalker myself because I treated it like a favorite TV show: I would limit myself to an "episode" every Sunday, and only play through 3-4 hours of story, a couple of quests. And then the rest of the time, I was doing a bunch of other things! Glam hunting, mount hunting, working on professions, spending a lot of time at the Golden Saucer because I'm addicted to GATEs (especially Leap of Faith), hanging out with friends, going to clubs and listening to DJs while hanging around there, leveling up alt jobs.

  5. Actually NPCs tell you to rest so much because everything takes place is so little time, the WOL is always rushing to the next big thing and never truly rests

  6. Yeah, the fun part about FFXIV is that its own 'physics' are quite consistent. Aether is the building block of everything, the way atoms are for our real Earth (in fact atoms are not a thing in FFXIV, as a result). Which means the wild concept that belief and faith have very real impacts on the world is much more reasonable when you realize that everything, including faith and belief, is interacting with aether in some way.

  7. The Scions themselves formed as a merge of Louisoix's faction (the Archons, the one with the purple tattooes) and Minfilia's group which was basically a secret society of Echo bearers and affiliate support (Us, Hoary Boulder, Arvenald, the Merchant brothers etc)

Krile is not an actual Scion, she's technically a high ranking member/survivor of the Students of Baldesion who were basically allies to the Scions and she was called in for her technical expertise/having the Echo. She just hangs out with us alot because their island/HQ blew up/got destroyed in ARR (or was it HW), and not alot of actual time has passed within the game.

Its sort of like how some of the doman refugees and several former crystal braves never formerly joined the Scions but still hang out at their base/are affiliated with them.

Hoary Boulder and Arvenald are our B/C list Scion teams, they have the echo and usually hold the fort/do background stuff for the organization

  8. So the whole dance thing was basically that people got Solus' model, and had it do the most iconic/memed dance from one of the Persona spin-off dance games, Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

The dance is known as the Specialist dance, btw, since that's the track for it.

  9. Actually yes. Stop reading your comments. The FFXIV community has members that are so passionate about this game that they can't help but spoil the game. They're too excited. They mean well. But it's hard.

  10. lol yeah, most FF14 memes don't really live up to the "hype" cause the things FF14 players meme on are the things we can talk about without spoiling anything on social media. See also "This is Thancred," a line so nothing that it was all we could talk about for weeks.
