  1. This whole part is just amazing. You're also getting closer and closer to shadowbringers! I'm excited to see what you think about the lead-up to that expansion, as well as the expansion itself.

  2. Tbh I didn’t pay any attention to anything in this fight I just showed up and dodged everything until it was all over. But I did that through out Stormblood.I just wanted to see the next cutscene was all I wanted when I played Stormblood.

  3. I absolutely love this trial, it is definitely my favorite pre-shadowbringers trial! ^^ Even if Yotsuyu never got her redemption, I must say it felt pretty good to see her get revenge on her absolute shitter of a brother.

You noticed the stack marker was different, it can be used as a normal stack marker basically, but it's actually a line from the boss and through whoever has the marker, so you can stack in front or behind the stack marker as well =)

So so so excited to see your continued journey! 😀

  4. Just wondering, have you looked into the Side Stories that Square posts on their site that give extra plot to some characters. Like how exactly Yotsuyu met with Zenos, or what Arenvald and Fordola have been up to.

  5. That b****'s face in the thumbnail, so punchable, so scary, perfect choice.

Edit: also, the red spider lily (Higanbana) has big symbolism going here. They are poisonous flowers grow from the bulb. The variation grow in Japan is triploid (3 set of chromosome, which hamper reproduction process) and therefore, sterile. They can only propargate by people split and plant the bulbs, ie. by human hand. Also, they are consider flower of afterlife.

  6. The ending of that storyline still hits hard where Hien is reflecting on the meaning of Yotsuyu's return and death after Doma Castle, and how even if it was brief, she and Gosetsu were able to share something that was taken from them.

  7. You mentioned that this feels like the Doma story is completed. On this topic the expansions are usually build this way that pre expansion patch .4 and .5 build up the expansion then you have a big .0 patch with lots of story and you continue the story in .1, .2 and finish the expansions story in the .3 patch 🙂 Have fun with 4.4 your first shadowbringers pre expansion patch 😀

  8. As a player who's been enjoying the story since the A.R.R. beta, I've really been enjoying watching all the newcomers and "refugees" playing through the story for the first time and seeing their reactions to these key points in the story. I guess now, all I can really say to you two without spoiling something is: Buckle up, kiddos, things are about to get REALLY interesting. 😉

  9. Redemption arcs have 2 possible endings, the villain is redeemed or they return to their origin. The story of Yotsuyu and Tsuyu is a failed redemption arc as she goes back to her evil ways after recovering her memory and then becomes a primal to exact her vengeance.

  10. Without wanting to spoil anything, there's been a lot of hinting during patches 5.4 and 5.5 that a lot of loose ends from Stormblood are being tied up during 6.0, just like a crapton of storylines from ARR were neatly taken care of in Shadowbringers. Also: do the Omega raids. The Endwalker writer said that if you want to catch all the references in the story you at least want to do those.
