  1. Super excited to follow your playhrough! Your voice is super calming and chill, and I hope you know no one minds if you mispronounce a name or two, especially the names, as some of the NPC names in this game can be…. challenging.

  2. Welcome to Eorzea!

Generally try to touch all Aetherytes as you encounter them. These big ones let you warp between them for a fee. The 3 major starting cities also have smaller Aetherytes which allow you to warp between different zones in the starting cities. These are free. You will know when you have touched all of them when it allows you to leave through the exits via the aetheryte.

When in doubt of what to do next, just focus on MSQ and job quests as well as blue+ unlock quests.

    Hope this helps!

  3. In Chracter Configuration under Display Name Settings, you have more options on top like Others, NPCs, and General. You will probably want to look under Others => Other PCs by scrolling down and selecting the options you want

Gil is on the bottom right corner, clicking on it will switch between different types of currencies.

The pet you saw was a Carbuncle, a pet of Arcanist class/Summoner job.

  4. Glad you're having a good time with it. My tip is that gathering and crafting are quite cozy actually. ^^
Also, regarding the cinematic from the last video, do you know about the game's reboot after launch…?

  5. Welcome to Eorzea! Taking it slow and at your own pace as a cozy game is the best way to play it. There's definitely a lot to take in at first, and learning your way around the cities can be a pain. Gridania is the easiest in my opinion to navigate, so hopefully you won't get too lost!

The "Pikachu" is a Carbuncle! They're the companions of the pet class and come in a few different colours. You'll see them around a bit. As for changing your clothes – I wouldn't worry too much about that this early on. You won't have a lot of money to start and you'll need to reach certain levels for certain gear to be usable. Plus, you'll get gear from a few quests that should get you where you need to be!

I look forward to watching your journey. 💕

  6. Welcome to Eorzea, Cozy! (as someone who's been playing for.. like 5 years!) Welcome! Take your time! Walk do not run through this world! Ask others for help we're a friendly bunch. Gridania is a great place to start. And just enjoy the world.

  7. Oh man so dont ge me wrong, the starting part of ff14 is the roughest part by far but if you can immerse into the cozy side of arr you are legit in for a treat. that lovely slow pace and whimsy as you build the foundations of the story can be really nice

  8. This game is so unlike any other MMO's I've played, and my definite favourite. Looking forward to following your cozy playthrough.
And please keep in mind that while the story and cutscenes in A Realm Reborn (the base game) are a bit tedious all the lore and story in the expansions afterwards is absolutely amazing. Enjoy! <3

  9. Highly highly suggest you take a look at som videos on youtube for quick tips and tricks for the ui that you can do.
There's a ton of settings that you almost have to change for the game to be playable. Test things out.

But fair warning the Default button reverts everything to default. Not just the menu you are in at that moment.

  10. A good thing to know starting out: you are NOT locked to your starting class. Once you reach level 10, and do the lvl 10 class quest, you can do quests to unlock ALL the other starting combat classes and crafting / gathering classes, and one extra you can't start the game as. They all give you a starting weapon, because changing weapon type is how you change class, once you unlock it.

Every starting class has it's guild in one of the 3 starting cities, so you'll realistically only be able to unlock them all at around level 13~14, when the story sends you around the cities. Some Jobs (advanced classes) will be locked behind higher level quests, and even owning certain expansions.

  11. Welcome! Hope you enjoy your time in Eorzea as much as I have. It's given me years of enjoyment going through the story and it may look daunting at first, but never feel like you have to keep getting through it! There's always places to stop and take a break and indulge in extra things that catch your attention! 🙂
