This Fight Always Trips Me Up – The Mad Mentor #05

There are so many options you can roll on Final Fantasy XIV’s mentor roulette, yet somehow it always drags me back into old Heavensward hard dungeons that I barely remember. Join me for another week of failing old content while pretending to help sprouts.

  1. Regarding the time scale of this mad mentor series:
This series is what introduced me to your channel
This series is what kept me coming back enough to subscribe and check out your other videos
I made that same mental calculation on week on and decided that I'm keen for it so long as you are
So… yeah. We know damn well what we're in for with this series in the long term, and I, at the very least, am just fine with it.

  2. my least favorite elevator segment is one of the devil may cry games idr what one assuming 3 but the elevator went on for to long was timed and every enemy had knockback attacks or was tanky and running out of time, dieing, or falling off forced a reset and you had to do every fight over

  3. Iirc, FF XIII-2 had an elevator stage / puzzle and I know its not the same as stay in and get enemies, but it really stayed with me as being annoying haha

  4. 2000 roulettes just about guarantees that I'll never ever bother starting the mentorship process. I already hate the leveling roulette but worse leveling roulette times 10 ? No thanks, I'm not getting paid to them lmao.

  5. 200 week schedule just sounds to me like I have 4 years worth of youtube content guaranteed. I won't be mad ¯_(ツ)_/¯
edit: I got further in the video and nah you actually made snapshotting make sense. at least to me, cuz I didn't understand it prior and was very confused as to why I was taking damage even though I was only in the aoe AFTER it went off.

  6. So its not so much an "elevator segment" but more of an elevator puzzle? In Last Remnant, there is a side quest that takes you to some old crumbling ruin that has 3 levels. The only way to navigate the maze of 3 levels is to go up and down elevators, with lots of side paths and monsters to confuse and disorient you. Its more of an "elevator dungeon" really.

  7. Least favorite elevator: Praetorium. Old Prae had, no joke, 5 annoying ones. 2 of which had/still are boss arenas for some reason.

Most favorite however: Mass Effect Citadel Elevators
