buddy wait until you find out raiding is done by a minority of ppl for most mmo players today endgame isnt raiding it in fact what you make of it and outside wow and lost ark in other mmos raiding isnt key or endgame eso, ffxiv and swtor dont depend or much care for raiding overall .
Your video quality is amazing.
Keep up the great work.👍
The real reason is because there is no endgame. Yes, there are max level savage raids, but the savage raids for every expansion (50/60/70/80) are still playable, challenging, and relevant to a point.
FFXIV has "Post Storyline Activities" that range from Combat (Trials, Raids, Alliance Raids), Exploration (Hunts, Deep Dungeons, Eureka, Bozja), Roleplay (Tribal quests, gathering, crafting, lore quests, job quests, class quests, role quests), to very Miscellany (Blue mage stuff, Glamour, Housing, Island Sanctuary, etc.)
All of these systems are robust enough to be considered fully fledged activities one can dedicate time and effort to. It's not just raiding at max level that will keep you busy, but most importantly, it wont keep you busy, because it was specifically designed to not be an obligatory task/chore, but an optional challenge.
It's only difficult to explain to someone that has preconceptions about what an MMO offers once you get to max level. Guild Wars 2 "suffers" from a similar problem with its focus on lateral progression.
:OO how do you only have 32 subs!?!? this is great!! felt like i was watching a much bigger channel then looked at subs and was shocked 😮
best ffxiv endgame is afking in kugane waiting for baldesion arsenal runs because thats the only content i do anymore… >:3 (not addicted i swear)
Cool video, man, keep them going!
Compared to other mmos xiv has a much larger casual playerbase.
This shows when you compare the average player skill level in regular content.
Xiv needs to increase the base difficulty to bump up the skill level a bit.
FFXIV as I said over and over is a playland with a great story.
“I just hope you, as an outsider, have a better understanding of this digital ecosystem…”
Me (2.5k+ hours) : Thanks 😃
you can say ffxiv does not have "one" endgame but manny endgames upon wich you can choose waht to do
Let's be honest. The real reason you made this video is to show off how pretty your character is! XD <3
BiS is a glowing sword that shoots laser out of your eyes
It's an interesting discussion to think about. The endgame exists, but I feel like over the years, the dev's obsession with making sure content can be playable forever means it has lost the majority of incentive for veterans to engage with it at all.
Raiding at a current savage tier level just means more frustration compared to waiting 6 months and doing it when gear cap unlocks. Most casual content isn't even much of a time sink. Which is great for people who don't want to play the game, but terrible for people who like MMOs and get that dopamine rush from accomplishing something.
I started a fishing relic this week. Because the battle relic content is a joke and I got desperate. it's the most fun I've had progressing something in a long time LOL. But even though I discovered a new love of fishing, the only reason I have any content for that is because there's a backlog of Big Fish from past expansions I can tackle after I finish the Endwalker relic. There's no real endgame fishing right now either.
Idk, sometimes it just feels like we've lost a lot of playable content to the Limsa afk crowd that just want more viera hats.
Maybe that gear progression is deterministic and guaranteed even for casual players could not be exciting… is just respecting my time and me as player
Yoshida designed his game to avoid endgame content to be too grindy in order to give people room for other MMO play and for those busy to not worry about MOFO and I appreciate it so much.
No other MMO has broken the mold of what constitutes "endgame content" like FFXIV has. If you are trying to no-life FF and are getting bored of "no content," you're either not looking hard enough or you're applying a broken mold to the game that shattered it in the first place.
Glam Squad has entered the chat 👗👔👘🥻👞 👀😍
FFXIV is a game, not a job.
Everyone knows true endgame is fashion. I personally hate raids/trials I literally just constantly make cute new outfits lol
This guy in the video is lying, I'm sorry to say it. Fishing collecting is the real endgame, we run this game with a iron, but fair fist. You content exist because we allow it to exis- oh shit my fishing window alarm just popped, I have to go.
The problem is WoW has conditioned people into thinking there needs to be 3 clear pillars of content and calls that "endgame" which in itself is a stupid term for a game which keeps going on forever. This was never the case in older MMOs and 14 follows that old model of making a vast world in which you can just go off and do whatever you feel like. Whatever you want to do is the reason you play. A lot of people these days need that carrot on a stick, some sense of direction because they're incapable of just enjoying the game they way they want to without some driving force to manipulate them. FFXIV does its best to make the world feel like a sandbox MMO whilst still having all the linear handholding features WoW has forced people to expect.
Hey, you’re catgirl is cute 👍🏻
The real end game is playing old content and enjoying doing what you want simple as that.
current content is never end game just play the game and progress how you wish
unlock eureka or bozja and want to grind it out before moving on the msq? do it
max crafters before finishing HW? do it
grind ocean fishing to get those title and mounts? do it
People that skip and rush to endgame to get to endgame confuse me cause…you'll just be doing roulettes of old content and grind content you skipped that could have done earlier
Having spent 14 years doing WoWs endgame content, I find ffxiv’s endgame content refreshing. I especially like the fact that it isn’t just about chasing gear like in WoW. It was overwhelming at first because I came from an environment where you had to do stuff to one where you could do whatever you wanted, and I tried to do it all (had that WoW brain). But then I realized that I could do whatever I found fun at the moment and I would be fine.
It was then I realized that WoW’s endgame wasn’t really even fun anymore, it was just doing weekly chores, most often with people I didn’t even know. In a sense, it stopped being an mmorpg and had become a single player game where you group up with random people to get your “8 done”.
Dragonflight was worse than ever. I’m so glad I finally just cancelled my sub and uninstalled the game. Now my time is spent laughing, having fun, and doing content with all the friends I made in ffxiv.
