  1. Yet your the one going around saying fuck the TOS . You deserve to get reported as you actively say you don't care about the rules or the devs that you signed a agreement with. Acting like things suddenly changed on you surprised Pikachu face yet you've been breaking the rules from the jump.

  2. In my own humble opinion, it's a matter of truly respecting once own personal opinion and views. Respect meaning when you express yourself, it should be in a manner not offensive for the others but at the same time getting other people's points and consider them. There is a fine line between being tactful and being flat out blunt, which does not go well with majority of the people because some people are so "woke" that they don't care about others, hence the break in cycle of "respect begets respect." Sometimes, it's really hard to stay being "motivated" to be respectful because others just blatantly disregard simple online etiquette 😀

  4. if dps meter and catbot user get banned no one will clear savage content because even non mod user benefit from mod user. with the exception of world first.

Let's be real, we know who is on the floor dead or the one who cannot keep their dps above the tanks dps.

  5. I don't think it's an immersive FFXIV problem. Final Fantasy/Square Enix fans are super apologetic and rabid about defending anything related. You should see the replies I get when I criticize FFXV or the FF7 remake…….. it's :YIKES:..

  6. Ok so what I want to say is below if anyone would like to read it. What I should say is, Thank you for the video and I agree now let’s all move on.

I agree with the posts below that are saying most of the community is fine. The sad little leftist US liberals get so butt hurt over everything…

  7. I generally love the XIV community, and most of my experiences has been pretty good. There are just some players whom are complete jerks and won't say anything to you in a dungeon; then leave without a word once it's over — and the worst of them randomly leave in the middle of it. Even less will actually say rude things, even to blatant newcomers, and act like they were totally justified.

Thankfully, those experiences aren't very common with me, so it hasn't fully ruined the experience. I just have the misfortune of being on one of the most heavily congested servers: Mateus. It's one of the most recommended servers, so people flock to it and bring their bad attitudes with them. It's not that hard: if you don't want to play with other people, either don't play XIV at all — or use the Duty Support system. That's literally what it's for. There's no point in making other people miserable because you're a miserable person. Everyone else is just having fun.

  8. It's like I tell everyone in my lore videos. While, the over arching story and themes we experience may be the same, what you take from it is always unique to that person! Let's all enjoy what we love together and I our own ways!

  9. I have a hard time believing your sincerity where you say one thing "I've delisted my video concerning mod installation." And do another, they are still very public and very easy for anyone to find. Follow through or issue a correction please. I don't care what you do with them that's on you. Just own it

  10. I'll be honest chief the community is just like any other gaming community. People aren't going to yell and scream at you generally, but people are people and people are toxic. Yelling and screaming is replaced by passive aggression and contrarianism. Would rather have the yelling and screaming somedays, because at least then I can yell right back at them. One day I hope that one day content creators like yourself will move past singing the community's praises and focus on what's actually fun to do in the game.

I still remember the great and cherished memories and proud moments of our ffxiv community, l.e tribute to Kentaro Miura ( creator of beserk), lalafel parades, black fat chocobo gathering, egg eating contest…. So on.. we even overcame the ffxiv 1.0 compare to that this aint nothing.., and I am still proud to be the member of ffxiv community

  13. I just started play FFXIV and hit level 30. I am feeling tired of reading quest text and jugging so many characters and how they fit into the story. Everyone says you have to keep playing and it gets faster and more engaging. I am a warrior and basically press 1,2,3 and win and never have to do anything outside of that. How does this game change into the higher levels and at what level does it change? I really want to have a new main game to play that has lots of fun new content for years 🖤

  14. I would say the community is generally ok. The main times I've seen explosions of outrage from the community is when people like Quin69 or Sleepy Raijin/more recent people on youtube come to bash FF14 when they have shown that they have not actually given it a chance. Criticism is fine, but not all criticism is created equally or fairly based, and this being the internet people from all sides have a VERY difficult time understanding that.

If you try 14 for a couple months, pay attention to the story, try the raids, try several jobs, and most importantly get past the initial ARR run into one or more expansion, and still dislike the game for your own reasons: that's fine. that's fair.

But if one level jumps their character, skip all cutscenes while "complaining about how bad they think the story is", never go past one or two jobs/roles, even, ignore all the optional dungeons, the raids both new and old, and then come to the conclusion that your criticisms are justified without really taking into account the subject matter itself: then the individual in question did not even try to give this game. I remember getting into a specific argument with Sleepy myself over pvp, because he refused to accept that pvp in ff14 wasn't the same setup as in League and didn't even try to use the resources the community regularly hands out for free (funnily enough, after the rework he made a video stating the exact opposite thought processes, go figure). Acting like the 14 community "has a problem" because one doesn't fit in due to their own biases is generally a very bad take.

And all that being said, we all have things we can and should work on. No game's community is perfect, and certainly not 14.

  15. This might sound antagonistic but I think that while everyone deserves respect in discourse, a massive thing holding us back from communicating well with one another is the expectation of our standard of respect. Someone being passionate and cursing at you is not inherently disrespectful, just as well-spoken, measured and dispassionate communication is not inherently respectful.

We spend so much time putting our emotions first these days that it gets in the way of our ability to empathize with one another, and to be tolerant of a variety of cultures clashing.

I do not think that empathy is limited to someone trying to police passion, nor do I think that the calmest person in the room is automatically going to listen to everything I say. Discourse is chaotic and the more we try to restrain that it seems the further we get away from reaching understanding.

  16. I will keep fighting and resisting those waves of harmful toxicity, degeneracy and elitism
    that someones show up.
My influence on the community might be minimal but I'll stand up and withstand the
    occassional storms.
I'll semi-RP throughout my entire walkthrough to enrich the experience, even if it might
just be me most of the time.
And one day, I might create a group that can do the challenging stuff, among other instances
and content, without caring about those stupid tools. Without bragging.
    Just being beacons of light.

But it is also important to note players to not succumb to overly toxic positivity either.
Sometimes, you have to accept the truth how it is and not make a passive aggressive
drama out of anything. We are supposed to help each other once we start talking,
    not harming.

We all need to maintain the balance, Warriors. Wish you good fortune on your contribution.
I want FFXIV to live on. With a smile, that better suits us.

  17. Honestly in the grand scheme of things this drama is just s*** started by a few outspoken weirdos. My fc and friends hasnt even mentioned any of these things and play like none of this exists in the first place. Its not even feigning ignorance, just like all aspects of this game there are groups of people who are weirdly attracted to the drama. 🤷‍♂️

  18. Its true some of us understand that being civilized and resonable can get you further that throwing a fit like a child. I just learn to accept that people are people and will find something to complain about. My old job use to buy everyone coffee and people complained that it wasn't their favorite brand. So my boss just said, fuck them they can buy there own coffee. Point is, wait long enough and you see people get mad over the stupidiest shit and that should not surprise you. We are human after all.

  19. I'm going to overdose on popcorn and copium if this goes on too long. I hate to say it but I don't think this is a problem that the community can correct on its own. It's going to take some less non-committal actions from SE.

  20. There is more eyes on the community when we see streamers act out in such a way that is considered toxic or what not. Just like every other person here, I think the community is just like any other. From casuals to hardcore and from normal to weird.
