  1. Dude thank you so much for making these! This is the best game you could’ve picked and I am so happy you chose it! I hope you go all the way through Endwalker! Thanks again dude. We really appreciate you doing this.

  2. My dude, I'm not trying to critique or anything, but if you're going to do a lore explanation of FFXIV, you may want to start with the 1.0/1.23b/before meteor era. There's quite a bit of lore from 1.x that is only partially explained in the after meteor era.

    Like The Heart of Sabik, Seal Rock, Moogles, Wood Sin, Black Shroud Elementals, Ascians (they were free roaming mobs in 1.x that only showed up at night in Thanalan), Garlemald (Nael turned Ul'Dah into a battlefield, spawning copies of himself inside the city and the lore on Gaius is quite deep in 1.x), and an absolute slew of other things.

    It's always surprising to see how many people are interested in the game/lore of 1.x but have no actual compendium to learn about it.

    I come from the 1.0 era (like, 1.0 OG where fatigue was a thing) up to today so it's always kind of surprising to see people interested in it.

  3. While I have played through the entire story already and am absolutely in love with it, this retelling and exploration is really amazing. I hope that you can get through it all eventually!

  4. This series is such a powerful labor of love – clearly the series isn’t getting millions of views so once again it’s obvious you’re doing this because you love the series and want people to experience it. I have had such a great time strolling down memory lane with these videos. I’ve been watching every advertisement and even clicking on them to give you some ad revenue since I can’t afford Patreon. Thanks for taking the time and energy to make such an incredible product.

  5. Hi! Just wanted to tell you that you're doing an amazing job. The SCP series is so good. Normally, I can't sleep so I just start your video and plus the earphones. These long format videos and your voice has been such a help to me! Thank you! And keep trying newer genres. Exploring History was a fascinating subject.

  6. It is of my opinion that Toto-rak is one of the worst dungeons in the game, and now that it's behind you, it's (almost) all up from here.

    Anyway, may I ask how far you plan to go with this series? Just the end of ARR? Or all the way through the post-story and maybe even some of the expansions? I'm really liking this, even as someone who has played through the game's story at least twice.

  7. The Corpse Brigade did more than beat that Ala Mhigan woman.
    It's one of surprisingly many direct instances of sexual assault in FF14
    The first being Sastasha, then this one in Little Ala Mhigo,
    and many in Stormblood.

    While 'realistic' for times of conflict, it comes across as particularly jarring;
    though it does not detract from the story.

  8. I'm sorry but I just need to say this: It's so, SO obvious that you're doing these videos out of pure and unadulterated love and dedication, because they're not getting the views your other works have. But please, as someone who shares the same love as you clearly do, accept my heartfelt thank you. I was away from your channel for a bit after binging your content for a good number of weeks, and I decided to drop in and see what was up. Seeing a XIV exploration video made me feel so seen.

  9. I wish the big streamers would watch these so you get huge credit for the amazing work.

    Great unique way to tell the story, I've played it before and rushed through the initial MSQ up to the 7th Astral Era and this explains everything I've seen glimpses of perfectly, THANK YOU!
