  1. As you will see, I intended to do Krile’s quest first, but I thought I had finished it 😂 so I did Thancred’s quest for most of this episode. It was a bit of a mess, but the next video will show for Old Sharlayan and not my assumption to do my first dungeon when mentioned at the end of the video LOL.

    Still I hope you guys enjoyed it. Please look forward to the next one!

  2. Yea the lore nerd in me when i got to this part completely had me going "WTF, how many more major lore bombs am I going to have to wrap my head around?!" Also the Feelstrain is right on schedule as usual. Can't wait for the next part Ysa! Keep being awesome!

  8. Knowing what Endwalker is all about now, I see why the Final Fantasy XIV development team uses India, via Radz-at-Han and Thavnair, as a major, if not vital, inspiration. The founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama, was born in ancient India, in what is now present-day Nepal. Buddhism profoundly influenced East Asia and Southeast Asia, including Japan. One of the central tenets of Buddhism is that life is full of suffering. Buddhists believe in the cycle of samsara, which is the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. This means that people will experience suffering many times over.

    As someone of East Asian (i.e., Japanese) heritage, it always bugs me how much India's contributions to East Asian and Southeast Asian cultures are downplayed, or not even mentioned at all. I sometimes wonder if people actually believe that Buddhism originated in China or somewhere else in Eastern Asia, when it really originated in South Asia, on the Indian subcontinent. Yes, Buddhism adapted and changed much when it traveled from ancient India to ancient China via Central Asia, and then to the ancient Korean kingdoms of Goguryeo, Silla and Baekje, and then to ancient Japan, incorporating local beliefs, traditions, and contributions.

    But the life is suffering always remained part of Buddhism.

    In the United States, my homeland, India, Indians, and Indian Americans are usually not even considered by the vast majority of the population as "Asian," even though the United States Census categories them as such.

    Fandaniel plays a much more important role in Endwalker, in the entire Zodiark and Hydaelyn saga, than you would be initially led to believe.

  10. Fucking AMON man. With FF3 DS being my first FF, as soon as I heard that, everything just clicked. Insane? Check. Nonsensical? Check. Cool design? Dude was Matador from SMT but cooler looking, of course he’s a sick design! And considering Xande’s desire and will in this game, it only made sense why he was so Murder-Happy. And I love every single moment of it.
