Your impression of Seto as old is accurate btw, as he's been around since before the Flood. Also a reminder: Ardbert killed himself and his friends so that their souls could all travel to the Source back in 3.1. It's likely that either Seto witnessed this or that they all went off on their own to do this and left him behind to spare him the pain.
As far as other streamers go, as others in your chat mention, the following are pretty nice and friendly: the Grinding Gear guys, JoCat, Jesse Cox, Preach, Okaymage, and Shenpai. Also if interested, you can look up the streams of some of the voice actors for FFXIV: they are relative newbies to the game, and I personally only know of Alphinaud's. The singer for the Shadowbringers and Endwalker theme songs, Amanda Achen, also streams. Streamers I personally recommend avoiding because they tend to cover nasty or dramatic stuff and/or behave in entitled elitist ways are: Xeno, Arthars and Zepla.

By the point CDG is at, the ascians have been defeated numerous times. Sure, their plan seems to still be in motion, but WoL has already destroyed Lahabrea, and numerous other "minor" ascians have been destroyed too.
If Emet attempts to talk, it's simply because… defeat is a possibility in his mind, on top of the issues later in ShB. He talks to CDG because he has to attempt all he can to survive and push his plan further. Sure, it's not a big possibility, but it's there. So why not ? Talking costs nothing.

Either play the game normaly or just end it, cause its clear you are not taking it seriously and have no idea about its history and stuff that hapened to respect 9it, you just want views and thats just it, at least admit it! Also stopping mid cutscene to just talk, you clearly have no idea about how a game should be played, just go back to your other mmos, its clear you dont like ff14 or dont show it the respect it deserves!
