ABOUT THIS GAME
Final Fantasy 14 or FFXIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea. Through the gods’ blessing, the player character escapes the devastation by time traveling five years into the future. As Eorzea recovers and rebuilds, the player must deal with the impending threat of invasion by the Garlean Empire from the north.

The FF14 Stormblood Ending was CRAZY (Reaction)

Best girl is back, also the time it took you to realise and look when you realised was adorable
Stormbloods greatest mistake was its over ambition. It wanted to tell a grand narrative and in so doing spread itself thin. Neither the Doman or Ala Mhigan stories were given the time they needed. Worse still, we are effectively told the same story twice. In the expansions to follow we are drip feed more content fo flush out and polish what the story set up and by Endwalker its feels alright. The big issue is that a lot of what we are given after is what we expected in the base game. Over all I think Stormblood is alright. Its base game the weakest of the expansions, but its patch content is among the best.
The final fantasy prelude always lands. IT ALWAYS LANDS.
The stormblood patch content is probably the best patch content in the game. I can't think of any expansion whose Post-MSQ comes close in terms of how much less filler it has. All of it lands so well and builds hype for the next expansion flawlessly.
Zenos tempers Shinryu.
Gets defeated.
"The hunter has become the hunted. Farewell frienemy."
Slits own throat.
Strange indeed, but still metal af.
What did you think of Zenos in Stormblood?
He is so unapologetically battle horny and god, I love him for it
He genuinely thought he had such a perfect battle that he'd rather end himself because it's never getting better than this moment here
Zenos, horny (for battle) on main and unashamed.
I loved Zenos, because we, meaning him and the WoL, served as huge reality checks for each other.
As the WoL, it's easy to forget the world is full of big time threats–even ones that that will be a match for us. Hell, canonically, it took us and 3 adventurers to bring down Gaius in the Praetorium WITH Hydaelyn's help. Meanwhile, we were told almost from jump that the "Viceroy" was nobody to fuck with, and we found that out when we faced him at Rhalgr's Reach. He was stronger than us. No debate. He kicked our teeth in.
When we met Zenos again in Doma, this time HE got his reality check. He won the 2nd duel, but nowhere near as convincingly as the first, and this time we managed to rally the Domans to fight. He would have slaughtered a good number of them, but the Domans, the WoL, Yugiri, Gosetsu, and Alisaie combined? He was outnumbered and knew it–plus, that was when he sensed we could give him an actual challenge (given time).
The final fight in Ala Mhigo was us and 3 adventurers against him just like Gaius, but Zenos pulling out Shinryu showed he was willing to play his own trump card so it all evened out. Even with Shinryu, he still lost, and that was a completely alien feeling for him. One he actually liked, really. We made a psychopath feel something.
Zenos was a big part of the reason I loved Stormblood. Sometimes it's important to be reminded that we may be the WoL, but we're still human. We can be bloodied and bodied, too.
I enjoyed Zenos in Stormblood so damn much! I'm always happy with a good old bloodknight. In general, I feel like Stormblood did really well in giving us, not only captivating antagonists, but multiple enemies and bosses that love to fight and are fun to fight because of it (I mean Zenos, Susano, the entire Steppe!)
…. can we not have spoilers in the thumbnail? FF14 fans do su h a good job to keep thr communities reputation on such things down close to 0. Don't be THAT person.
And no, don't say that it's been out for this long so people "should know by now"
I love when content creators make silly looking characters because they probably didn’t think they would stick with this game for this long, only to become too attached to change them 😂 I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself.
