  1. I have been a quivering ball of emotion since this dropped. I keep thinking of Emet's narration and how it feels like a valedictory, like he's wishing us luck just before the credits roll. I don't think I can explain how I feel about this game to normal people anymore without choking up.

  2. So many have died saving alphinaud, if this is truly his time, then it's his time. I'll be sad to see him go but this journey has been much of him as well, I think it'll good to move on from him. A precious and good friend remmebered

  3. I know people are making the most obvious comparison between the twins and Palom and Porom, but I have a deeper fear: Alphi is becoming a Sage, and in FF4 Tellah was a Sage…

  4. I wouldn’t worry too much about Alphinaud. If they’re so obviously waving his death flag in the trailer, it is almost certainly a red herring. Doesn’t mean other characters are safe, though…

  6. I really don’t think it’s going to be Alphi that dies, considering they just gave him one of the expansion jobs. Either he’ll stay in Old Sharlayan (with G’raha, from what it seems?), or one of the others will die. Possibilities to me are Y’shtola, Estinien, or Alisaie – but with Zenos and an unhinged Ascian around, someone’s definitely gonna die this expansion, and I really don’t think they’ll kill off anyone that got the Shadowbringer and Endwalker jobs.

Though if Alphinaud did die, it wouldn’t be horribly unfitting – the amount of growth he’s gone through and the amount of times people have sacrificed themselves to save him, he may well return the favor – likely for Alisaie or the Warrior.

  7. Soken never fails to capture the magic in his music when composing to fit each scene, i remember the weight behind fighting "H" at the end of ShB (when the expansion was first released), the build up, the culmination of all our efforts, it fit so well ! He did that with HW,SB and undoubtedly he'll achieve it with Endwalker too !

This and FFXVI i'm genuinely so hyped for knowing it's Yoshi and Soken and probably their dev team, amazing work as always Sarah !

  8. I was worried for Alphi when I first watched it because he's not in the picture of the scions at the end, however since it's from his point of view/narrative I think that'll be ok. Hopefully.

  9. "That's my mother's birthday!" And the day before mine! Also, when I get to the moon, I'm just going to spend a few minutes singing:

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere!
I'm all alone, more or less. Let me fly far away from here!
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie, shipwrecked and comatose,
    Drinking fresh mango juice.
Gold Fish shoals, nipping at my toes!
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun!

I wonder how many people can name what that's from without looking it up.
