at duty’s end, FFXIV players will shine again!

this animation has some examples from my experiences in raids, dungeons and alliance raids (24 people in them)

some of them good, some of them bad

all of them pretty fun

  2. Am I the only one who immediately afks(after passing/needing on loot) when the boss dies to go use the restroom or deal with the kids or anything in life since the dungeon took 12-25 mins and time is limited?

  3. I finished alexander today, so I had the cutscene and another guy too. And indeed i did quit as fast as possible right then because you know, alexander chests…

So yeah, guilty as charged !

  4. Did Aglaia the other day and I still hadn’t managed to get the minion for it. There was me and 2 DNCs left who clearly knew each other because they partnered each other after the raid was finished and they didn’t roll for loot. I instantly knew what they were doing—trying to wait me out. But unfortunately for them I’m stubborn af and waited with them AND I got the minion (which they both rolled for with 1 second left). So HA. Screw u dancers.

  5. Honestly I love getting All the Alexander and Eden tokens.

Exchange them for their respective blue text gear

dump that gear for GC seals

Exchange for Coke and Hardened Sap

    ???? Profit!

  6. I tend to Greed on most things so I can turn them into Seals, though if there's a piece of gear that matches a Sprout's Job, I'll usually Pass so they have a better chance to get it.

Also, I love dungeons where everyone runs ahead and ignores all the chests. I'll open the last chest, then wait until everyone leaves, and go back for all the chests we skipped!

  7. Best way to get the loot you want is to ASK. People are usually really nice in this game and I've had many instances where I'll ask at the beginning of the duty to pass on something and people were kind enough to let me have it. It won't always work obviously but it'll cut down on the time grinding imo

  8. Yeah, the last one is pretty spot on for pets and the occasional scroll. Nothing like standing around for several minutes after everyone left waiting for a single pet.

Also, the chest leaver can die in a fire, especially on the chests that drop 20 different parts you have to sort through your bags for.

  9. Guy : I'm going to make sure everyone waits a long time for loot.
everyone but me left sitting there with him
Guy : Surely he wouldn't wait the entire time.
Me listening to Rise on youtube and chillin

  10. I don't particularly care for the loot, I just care for c o m m e n d a t i o n s.

I don't even mean mine, I kinda wish people would stay around a bit longer so I can commend, say, the rookie DPS who is doing the dungeon for the first time and is REALLY trying their best, or the healer who saved the run.
