This moment in Doma Castle absolutely broke me…it hurt just about as bad as -redacted-. FFXIV continues to deliver on its emotional beats, something I’ve missed sorely in Stormblood.

I was sad for Gotsetsu's death. He was a great character that deserved more screen time.
Chad Thorsen is a treasure.
I cried so much when he died. Watching it again, I started tearing up some. Gosetsu was everything a Samurai should strive to be.
Prepare yourself because it only gets sadder from this point.
I was the same… Don't wanna sound awful. But can't wait to see you suffer more in 4.3 & 4.4. In FFXIV, we suffer together. And I better not even mention ShB & EW. lol
Hell, I even cried by the end of Alexander and Omega. lmfao
Alright everyone, time to get in a circle with the bois and cry
You no longer receive an exp boost. Damn game, you dont have to rub it in.
I've found over the years that crying can be cathartic, so there's no shame in it.
Gosetsu's past sins – redeemed. Powerful moment.
Such a sad moment. Though I always feel like they stood under that falling ceiling for so long. Either run or help dammit!
Life has been kicking me in the TEETH the past couple months, so these highlight videos are a GODSEND I'm so terribly behind on streams DX (Congrats on finishing 4.0!)
It's ok Chad. The clapping of Zenos' ass cheeks will tear the fabric of reality and bring our grandpa samurai back.
hugs
I cried when he died too.. It got me when they did the flashbacks and you think back on some of the things Gosetsu had said before that made it even worse..
I myself heard about Gosestu's ridiculous strenght & stamina, and boy did it sure dampen the mood that was supposed to be conveyed
♥️♥️♥️
When Gosetsu was holding the building, I had an overwhelming feeling of worry. The cinematic scene reminded me of my childhood memories when I play The Legend of Dragoon. It was the Dragon Campaign cutscene where one of the Dragoons were holding up the ceiling. I didn't expect myself to shed tear at that moment when this happened.
He shall be remembered as legend
"You cast the die. Gambling was never my vice."
What an absolutely phenomenal line. Gets me every time.
