I can't deny these facts, but it is also true that Alphinaud caused more problems to the sciones. Y'shtola and Thancred got health issues, Papalymo died, etc. While Alisaie is always looking for their well being.
I love Alphinaud, he really grew. His development was great, and he’s a wholesome bean. I like Alisaie’s spitfire attitude, but I’ve always been drawn to sweet lil guys when it comes to character personalitiws

The arc of learning through experience- the Crystal braves, the entirety of HW. Moving through being a diplomat but being unafraid to raise a weapon should all else fail. I mean- look at the Lupin encounter in SB
I also adore the arc of becoming stronger. Getting her butt handed to her multiple times and getting up, continuing forward. Gaining new skills and abilities and I’m also a sucker for Red Mage ok? But also- SB girls night out on Kugane and through that whole bit was absolutely hilarious and fun.
you're absolutely right and thank you for saying so 😤 i love alisaie too but alphinaud's been with us since the beginning… his arc in heavensward is always lauded as his big moment but i feel he grows every expansion… that one scene from the post-stb patches where he insists on going to garlemald to broker peace and do what he does best, despite all the dangers, moved me so much 🥲
I'd like to say Alisaie's arc isn't just about becoming stronger. It's also about compassion, and wanting to do more to support others during hard times. Ga Bu and her story in ShB for instance.
I love Alphie, he's a cutie, but Alisae literally wants to be able to go toe to toe with the WoL. At, like, 14? 15? she's already trying to beat the WoL in competitions, and doing really damn well. She's a gremlin (like the WoL) but also smart (less like the WoL). She can fight well AND be a diplomat. Honestly, if she learns a little persuasion from her mother, who can have Rowena quaking in her boots, she'll be an unstoppable force.

Alphi is the OG twin. He's been there through it all. Alisae is fine, but I just don't care about her at all. She's unnecessarily frustrated and impatient and her "getting stronger" arc is very mid. Also, she's a red mage, but not really? What's that about? Idk, Alphinaud is just a better, more interesting character.
I agree his arc of going from a self-important little brat to what he is now, but Alisaie is the superior twin.
Both are nice. XD I love Alphinaud's character arc, but I also love Alisaie's general attitude toward things as it makes her extremely relatable. 😀
