Lol, I had the same reaction. It's been a long while since I've seen the cutscenes before the fight though.
Also, if you haven't already, please hit the little 'padlock' next to your Reprisal skill.
If you use your mouse to press the buttons, you can accidentally make it come off your bars. This will lock all our hotbars, so if you change your buttons you'll need to unlock it to do so.
But the lock will keep your buttons in place! 😀

It sucks that many of these fights do not last long anymore because of gear upgrades 🙁
Fun fact: Up to this point, every primal you see in the game originated in a different Final Fantasy game. Ravana was the first primal that originated in FFXIV.
