Hii, I finally watched the cinematic for A Realm Reborn!
In the intro I mentioned I’d also share a reaction to the opening movie, but I’m not sure if that is necessary… What do you think?
I’m still editing the next episodes for my playthrough series btw, the crystal tower quests and the looong ending cutscene… Soon those will be out aswell.

I would suggest to try to get a party to help you get though the Coils of Bahamut before you head toward Heavensward.
For me I did it after I finished HW and wish I did it before then. It's work a look for sure.

You need to do The binding coils of Bahamut. It finishes that cut scene.
I was typing this before you said it in the video. 😅
Louisoix and the Scions were trying to invoke the power of The Twelve to re-seal Bahamut, and when it didn't work, he invoked Althyk's power to transport that party (stand-ins for the players) 5 years into the future. Their chocobos have markings on their beaks, and 1.0 players got those chocobos and tattoos of that mark signifying their "Legacy" status.
You should check out the "Legacy Player" cutscenes (there are a couple compilations) to see the alterations made to their intro and MSQ to acknowledge their past participation. It's pretty neat!

Definitely get someone to run you through the Coils of Bahamut raid series before you dive much into Heavensward! If you go in unsynced a single person can run you through. It’s so vital to the lore it’s a shame more people don’t do coils before Heavensward because it makes the whole expansion hit different.
So the first half of the trailer played for all the logged in players when they shut down the 1.0 servers. And then the second half is the ARR intro. This trailer is honestly one of the best ever in gaming. Most of us never get tired of seeing it. I'm really glad you're enjoying yourself.
As for Coils, ask around in your FC and see if people will stand by to walk you through the instances. Most people will as it only takes 1 for most instances and 2 probably for some of the final fights. At 90 I duoed all of Coils with just one friend.
The premise of the story is that the Adventurers in the battle were teleported 5 years later thanks to Louisoix. 1.0 players got a tattoo on their character and a few changes to the story's cutscenes to reflect this.
And definitely get some friends to carry you through Coils, it's quite vital to the story later on 👍
You should absolutely go back and listen to the music if you can! I'm really glad you enjoyed the cinematic, and I'm super super glad that you're loving the game. People don't lie–it truly does just keep getting better and better and better. Can't wait to see more!
