Interested in leveling blue mage but don’t know anybody in-game yet to help you power level? In this video I revisit all the spots I personally leveled solo in recently while also showing where to pick up some of the core spells along the way. Whenever possible, I tried to pick spots that had decent drops for leather/alchemy.

That FATE for sticky tongue pops very frequently. I believe there's a 5-10 minute wait after completion.
I was able to get that 1k needles at 18 but I had some good dungeon gear.
Finally! Thank you! I've been through 4 videos all starting with "Have your max level friend kill everything." If I had friends I wouldn't be looking it up I'd be asking them! Jokes aside solid guide thanks a bunch good sir.
At around level 30, especially if you're also leveling your chocobo companion, you can find spots with monsters that die from one cast of 1000 needles
If you want to, after you get thousand needles, you can solo grind in dungeons by doing realitively big pulls 7-8 mobs, and rotating different types of CC with thousand needles.
Just remember, the damage of thousand needles goes down as the number of mobs goes up.
Example: Chain pull (make space and heal when necessary) once you have the mobs grouped on you, Acorn bomb -> Thousand needles -> Acorn bomb -> Thousand needles -> Mind blast -> Thousand needles -> Mind blast (not 100% sure if the 2nd will last long enough) -> Thousand needles -> Swiftcast -> Thousand needles. You could also potentially use faze as a stun, but it's a short range cone and lasts exactly 6 sec (the cast duration of thousand needles)
