A common problem i see in pf with new healers is they are always overhealing. You have to realize you aren't the only one healing, you have a co-healer. like SCH casting spamming succor or whm casting medica 2 when everyone's HP is full.
It's really weird hearing this now, since yes I've cleared Pandaemonium as a tank, but I've done a few fun runs as healer and understand the mentality of using ogcds to heal primarily and planning resource management with a cohealer. But now I've started progged uwu as a Sage, and every other mechanic has some sort of heal check that demands efficient use of ogcd and gcd healing. Getting through Friction was a process of holding back certain cooldowns so they'd be ready for Friction and I still need a gcd or two about halfway through Friction.
Searing Wind during Ifrit feels like another heal check because it essentially removes one healer from the party and all healing defaults onto the one who doesn't have Searing Wind. It's been interesting prog, but Ultimate really is Ultimate. Even my casual healer runs in Pandaemonium was usually a system of a priority of ogcds as they're available.
