  1. No game should offer boosts that skip content period. I don't know why you would want to anyways, you are paying to cheat yourself out of entertainment you paid for and it's not that bad at all.

  2. Either boost or suffer the endless fetch quests and fate grinding.

Its those things why I dont put SE and their ffxiv up on a pedestal like other people. The boosts arent even the most cash grabby part, its the cost of extra inventory via extra retainers. Its painly a grab against people that craft and gather fully. They refuse to increase normal inventory. SE wants your money like the rest of them, they just arent utterly stupid about it.

I didnt even hate 1.0. I btw do not like fetch-quest or fate-grind leveling experience. its why i only suffer yo have 3 jobs leveled.

Realm reborn raids were more looked down on for being extreme-skill gated, too.

  3. Imo no BUT if that's what you wanna do that's what you wanna do as long as you take the time to learn what you gotta learn and don't criticize the story without knowing what the whole story is. It's your money and the way you choose to enjoy something is your own choice no one owns you

  4. My main being on Aether, I played through the story there.
I skipped up my primal character which is my convert from 1.0 and beta, so that I could play with some of my friends on Famfrit Exodus and Hyperion without going through the story again, that way I was able to double-run Shadowbringers alongside my Aether character.
Not too long after, PSO2 global came out and my alliance was already on Crystal, so what did I do? I skipped up new character and proceeded to do Shadowbringers a 3rd time. Now I'm all 3 data centers with at least 1 level 80 job. I have a lot of work ahead for the next 4-5 months! I just finished the 5.5 dungeon on Aether which I already did on Crystal. After I finish story, I'm continuing weapon story and unlocking Zadnor on all 3 DCs. This was before I learned about Data Center visit, but I'm too far in to give up now.

  6. If you have time to burn, no. Play through the dungeons and experience it to the fullest.
If not and have money to burn, okay. Just make sure to watch Okamoza's videos for the job story lines. Some stories are a heaping pile of steamy nothing (BSM ARR), and some are absolutely wonderful (PUG, WVR SB, WHM SB, GSM HW, etc) and worth the time to watch on their entirety.

  7. You could do whatever you wish! But you still need to learn your class rotation and be ready to adapt to low level Sync as you won't have the same abilities unless you play in synced Dungeons. At the end of the day it's completely up to you!

  8. Skip potions are generally for people who have already done the story or gotten a class to max level.

If you want to skip the story, you're going to skip the vast majority of the game.
Skipping to level 70 on a job is also a huge hindrance in learning your job.

Taking your time and playing the game is always your best option.

And the story does teach you how to play the game because the game is more than just combat and the story is more than just the MSQ.

Every system in the game comes with a story and lore. All of the tutorials are within the story.

If you skip everything and jump into ShadowBringers, you wont know where to go or what to do or even how to do it.
