As someone who has been chipping away at the msq for the last 2 years, I think a lot of the best parts of the game would be missed out by having a new starting point. I get your point for the people interested mainly in the end game content and I know that a lot of people don’t have the time or patience to grind through the msq but it’s just so good it feels like a shame to miss it. Good video, overall there probably is no right or wrong way but the option I’m sure would be welcome to some players
New start? No. They should work on shaving down the length of some of the MSQ though. Kind of like what they did with ARR, but more aggressive. ARR could be easily streamlined and condensed into 100 quests instead of over 200 and the post-patch ARR content can be further compacted and streamlined into 50 quests instead of 80. There are a lot of small quests involving "go here and talk to this person, then come back" that could be cut down significantly.
