After finally finding Nanamo, she woke up from her long nap. Alphi disbands the crystal braves, and Nidhogg got defeated again. After I saw a vision of Nidhoggs first battle that shows the truth of Ishgards founding.
It’s been awhile heh… my pc broke, which I already shared in the community thingy. Hope you enjoy this episode! ;D
I’ll be leveling (for the first time) all the way to max level, following the main quest storyline. This is a playthrough series, so there’s a lot of content yet to come…

Hellooo 😀 I hope you enjoying the Heavens ward story 😀
In FFXIV, you won't die from fall damage UNLESS you're in combat. So don't jump off a cliff to get away from an enemy, and watch out for enemies at the bottom of cliffs too.
fall damage only kills you if you're in combat
Alphinaud was broken down to his core after the events of ARR. Heavensward is truly his journey to find himself and grow into a better and wiser person.
Fun fact: The Brawny Knight in that flashback who decides he'd rather serve ale than continue to take up the sword is almost certainly the namesake for the tavern now known as the "Forgotten Knight."
No sooner had I finished the last video and said I'm caught up in the comments you release a new video!
I have all the respect in the world for Raubahn. The man would move mountains for the sake of his daughter, and as a father of a young daughter myself, I can absolutely relate. Ever since my daughter was born, I find myself drawn to father characters in all forms of media. There is another one way, WAY later in this game that has a very interesting story arc to him. No spoilers, just know that I really like how he was written.
I love this game's writing. The team has such a talent for for creating compelling characters and crafting hooks that drag you in.
Estinien used to take part in the fight as an NPC with a mechanic tied to him until relatively recently (like, a few months ago). Since the rework, you can do the dungeon with an NPC group instead of a player party, and he's part of that group if you opt to go with NPCs.
Feels like the "vibe" only goes one way, sadly to shipping fans.
a whole hour! what a treat. hope these render times arent eating up your PC too much lol!
I love the fact that, for all tends and purposes, there was a hint to Manacutter back in Realm Reborn when Biggs and Wedge were talking about their side-project. Whether developers already had an Idea what it was or thought about it later, during Heavensward development, doesn't matter, but how cool it is to hear about something brewing and then see results of this work effectively months or even years after it was mentioned.
And in this video you see why I love Lolorito so much. I hate him as a person, but as character he is so well written! There is a reason why this expansion is so beloved for its story, after all.
And yeah, Alphinaud is an Arcanist (or rather specific NPC class – the Academic), so he uses a book instead of Gravity Beam Emitter 😀
Reasoning why Estinien twarts Alphinaud is mostly because until 6.2 dungeon was available for runs only with party and Estinien was in the boss room using Eye channel its power against Nidhogg and healer's job was also to make sure that Estinien doesn't die and in adds phase tank had to make sure that adds don't aggro on Estinien. They made it simpler, but it's overall better fight now in general.
And little "P" icon near party member name means that player is in a party and P with a square means "Party Leader"
If you're in combat, you can die from falling damage. Otherwise, no. And they removed falling damage entirely from long "flavor" falls in dungeons.
used to be estinien did a thing during the combat while the party fought nidhogg. now, with the redo, he is available as one of the duty assistance npcs. kinda less dramatic/fun, imo, but it is what it is.
