Shadow Walk With Me | FFXIV: Shadowbringers

I hope you enjoy this one!

Tbh I didn’t really like Cylva that much during this quest but where she came from and why she did the things she did made me understand her a little bit.

I can’t believe she’s from the fallen world where Unukalhai came from D:

It makes me wonder if there are other warriors of light from that world that escaped to the other reflections?? I’ll never know. xD

But yes, thank you for watching this!

I feel like I can finally show off the other vids after these role quests. 😀
But I have to edit them first.
Please look forward to it!

  1. Cylva was put in the same position as Emet. Her home was destroyed and she would do anything to see it restored, so she allied with (or, rather, was tricked by) the Ascians to destroy the First by Light and 'balance' the Void.

  2. I mean Cylva kinda did the same thing the Ardbert and co. did they where warriors of light who “failed” (it was acians) and became warriors of darkness and set in motion events to bring forth rejoinings

  3. Others here in the comments have been referring to another questline that follows after this one, however there's a little detail that hasn't been mentioned. There are actually 3 requirements to start that quest.

    1) You must have cleared the Warring Triads questline in Heavensward.
    2) You must have cleared Shadow Walk With Me(which you have done in this video)
    3) You must have cleared the 5.3 MSQ

Once you've cleared those quests, then Cyella will have a new questline available for you.

  4. Ysa, Cylva lost her entire world. The thirteenth, the one that the Ascians ruined completely, is the World of Darkness. It's where all the voidsent come from. She was a warrior of light from the Thirteenth, and the Ascians tricked her like they tricked Ardbert, convincing her that the ardor was the only way to save her world/all the souls like they said to Ardbert. She was the Shadow Keeper because she thought it was the only way to save everyone. She was misled.

  5. Clyva's world is where all void sent come from. Her shard was the opposite then the first where thier aether became stagnant, her shared the aether exploded in all directions leaving the shard void of all aether (hense why they are called void sent fiends) in her shard who was left feasted on others for their aether making them in to beasts with power. The more people they ate the more powerful they became.

  6. On the question whether one should feel Cyella like for Emet, I would say even moreso. Despite how good a villain and loveable character he is , he is a mass murdering monster. That people feel for him is a big achievement by the dev team. Cyella unlike Emet is more of a victim.

  7. Oh, my heart at the end! :') I'm always having a good time watching you going through the story content!
I really like Cylva, she's pretty cool! I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes relevant at some point in the future. Also her armor is the deepshadow set, that now you can only get through kupo nuts. She was the reveal for the set, that was added in 5.1 I think?
Also, fun fact : there's actually an elezen looking just like her in the Waking Sands at the beginning of ARR, and who get killed when the Garleans attack after the fight against Titan. It's probably a reference to the 1.0 intro cutscene (you should watch it if you haven't yet!) more than to Cylva herself.

  8. This is my favorite questline and Cylva is my favorite character. A little bummed you didn't like her as much but hopefully you enjoyed the questline in general.
You should go back and watch the original 1.0 cinematic, if you haven't already….keep an eye out for some friendly faces, including the bartender 😉
Also, as other commonts pointed out, you have more stories to finish and experience 🙂 I can't wait!
