Honestly I'm an old FFXI Scholar and not a FFXIV one. But even the name kind of one ups Scholar here. In fantasy, I view a Sage as being a job advancedment for scholar. Like, the greatest scholars from all the land convened and decided to seek the wisdom of the Sage of the Mountain.

As a SCH player since I started last year, this class looks like EXACTLY what I wanted my book boy to feel like. Reverse Emergency Tactics, basic shields taking up the same buttons as the basic heals (leaving more room for OGCD buttons), creative DPS tools with inspiration from WHM, and a resource that I don't have to micromanage! Sage already had my attention, but now… it's gonna be a long month.
Scholar has a fighting chance? As a Scholar main, I have to respectfully disagree

What I really wanna know about sage from a lore perspective is if their nouliths are technology-based or magic-based

Adders gall, was that full when you started or did you need to wait for it to refill? As in after a wipe in a raid do you need to wait the full minute for 3 stacks.

as someone who decided since the reveal that i would switch main job to sage at release, i couldn't be happier about all of this and the struggle to having to wait just gets bigger

It's weird how Sage's 20% healing buff ability is so weak and boring compared to the other healers. WHM, SCH, and AST all get extra benefits in addition to the 20% heal buff but Sage gets nothing? And Sage's only lasts 10 seconds? What? Weird decision.
