A friend of mine will start to play Sage now – best timing for the video, instantly linked it!
Thanks Ilya as always for your content! Loved the DSR prog livestreams a lot as well!
During the Endwalker media tour, Pneuma actually healed, did damage and mitigated 10% damage but the mitigation was removed by launch.
So that point about maybe attaching Pneuma to Eukrasia would possibly be the way to bring the mitigation back. But that would entirely defeat regular Pneuma’s purpose. So my thought is like, if they ever go ahead with a Eukrasian Pneuma, they should give it a longer CD. 120s to 180 in exchange for an emergency 10% mit.
Another ability they can attach Eukrasia to would be the AoE attack? Maybe make it an AoE dot
I love Icarus. on one hand I wish the other healers also had a gapcloser, but then again dont want all healers to be the same.
Whatever good Sage has is completely overshadowed by the fact that it doesn't have deployment critlo, making it probably the worst class to take into DSR by a long shot
I was an alt-aholic in FF14 for so long, because none of the classes spoke to me until Sage. Sage just fits me so well. I'm glad to have finally found "the one" for me.
I played AST in Shadowbringers but switched to Sage shortly after the expac dropped (never unlocked SCH/SMN) – I think the job has been great! I healed through the savage tier and am working on TEA and DSR now, and the amount of planning required around Kerachole cycles has been really exciting! I think Kera is better than Sacred Soil since it's deployed as a buff to players instead of an area to stand in – it helped with a lot of the separation parts during water/thunder in BJCC, and overall I'd say sage's kit is really good. Addersting is in a funny spot as you said, it is easy to build up through ultimates but in savage I found that it was a "manage your three resources for the whole fight" type situation since so many TBs get invulned or easily mitigated by gear. The proposal of the shared cooldown is interesting, but hopefully they give it something in the future. Good video!
