  1. The worst part is that there are so many types of content not properly done by content creators like lore videos and such, while having many topics taped on over and over again like this one from zepla lol

  2. I like Zepla a lot so I donโ€™t want to rag on her but I feel like she doesnโ€™t often make much creative/proactive content of stuff in the game, she mostly does videos that are reactive to community sentiments, discussing a topic or msq/quest reactions. But itโ€™s not just her, Not a lot of FF creators are doing niche ideas that highlight gameplay content actually in the game, they are just playing the game in their own time and somehow uploading videos anytime a topic comes up, the only creator off the top of my head that I know has put effort to create their own experience in game as content is preach with his own CC tournament and RP events, almost anyone else I can think of is an MSQ reactor or raider with a following and isnโ€™t really โ€œproducingโ€ in game stuff into any form of content to present to viewers. On a side note for what kind of videos she wants to make, I think if she wants to make videos asking people to be nicer thatโ€™s fine lol? As long as sheโ€™s not inciting negativity she can make whatever vids she wants

  3. Bruh I don't think MMO players understand this concept we have in competitive shooters. Its called moral, being toxic isn't going to make your dragoon play better. If anything it will make them play worse. I don't understand criticizing her for this specifically. Just don't be toxic

  4. tbf it's very understandable about her lack of quality content.. if u watch her old videos it was funny and different… lately she just make reaction video and general stuff… kinda missed her old contents..

  5. Every few weeks or months I watch some recent FFXIV reviews and reactions
I dont know why more content creators dont do this.
Its an easy form of content and it can help smaller creators get some attention

  6. I think the issue is most FFXIV content creators only have three sources of content: MSQ, news, and other peopleโ€™s videos.

Which at first seems like โ€˜what else would there be?!โ€™ but thatโ€™s where creativity comes in.

Misshapen chair does opinion videos on things like the state of healing or parsing culture, which isnโ€™t any of those 3 things. Asmongold does transmog videos, which isnโ€™t any of those 3 things. Some people do silly FC events or focus on niche aspects of the community. Beullar does lore and story videos in a way outside of just โ€˜reacting to MSQ.โ€™ But in general, people donโ€™t do anything outside those three at all because itโ€™s harder.

Iโ€™m not saying itโ€™s easy to find video ideas, because itโ€™s not, but I do think itโ€™s legitimate to say that many FFXIV creators donโ€™t get creative enough to escape the big three of MSQ, news, and other peopleโ€™s videos. None of those rely heavily on the youtuberโ€™s own creativity and are generally low-ish effort. (To be fair YouTubing regularly is still a lot of work at a base level)

Iโ€™m not saying those videos are BAD, but theyโ€™re content being spoon-fed to basically every FFXIV creator, which means itโ€™s harder to stand out and is an artificial roadblock to more creative content.

  7. I really hate to be that personโ€ฆ but seriously we can kinda tell Zeplaโ€™s losing steamโ€ฆ it seems like shes more interested in doing off the cuff rants on her streams that only stoke the fire of whatever controversy of the week is.

  8. I don't know if she's still not settled in, but she only made like 2 videos over the weekend as Quazii made much more due to the live letter and QA. I don't think she's actually trying to be a main news source of FFXIV or she's just trying to get by posting stream content to YT. I know that in the past when people asked about who to follow to keep up to date for FFXIV news they told them Zepla, and I mentioned Quazii also being a fine choice, but now I would consider him a superior choice to keep up to date.

Quazii, I do think there may be a different way to repost news within your channel about changes taking place, but not worth a long discussion. I know Asmon did this all the time talking about bots in the game and finding where they were to point out the problem. LOL, I guess I'm lazy, and if the news doesn't come to me from Quazii then unless they're balance change patch notes I likely won't read them.
