  1. tbh you can see a pattern here.
FF14 started very bad, but managed through and improved, but never forgot that success comes with great game.
On the other hand, WoW started very strong, with huge sales and great success… That's why they started to take a success for granted, what can be seen later in the expansions.
And to this day, they are sure, that it's not them who are wrong, because everything they touch must be perfect.

  2. I think his 'pause for 1.5 seconds and then answer the question" was saying his answer was on a GCD. And then he starts talking about all the "hard hitting question" and they are questions they seem to get a lot. To me he is dismissing those questions as minor issues (and blatantly admitting they won't fix small problems) and also lumping the GCD question into those he will dismiss. He is trying to be funny, but he is blatantly admitting he doesn't care about these issues and they are minor to him.

  3. The Thing with the 2.0 Launch Event was not because of 1.0 turn around he was so emotional. During Early Access of ARR the NA and EU Server had MASSIVE problems for days, because the massive influx of Players during that time was totaly not what they thought would happen. So he apologist to us Western players for that and got very emotional because of that.

  4. Dear lord, is every Blizzard interview question met with such condescending dismissive response from the devs? Why was the WoW community okay with this for so long? No wonder a lot of people hate them with a passion now.

  5. When Ion calls WOW gamers "bingo players" is so disrespectful. The remark clearly reflects his disdain for the WOW community. I don't see Ion and his WOW minions ever being "serious" about change." Narcissist never keep or promise.

  6. With respect to the WoW mob scaling question – The one thing that I'm reminded of was the day in WoW BFA when Azshara was released. My heroic raid geared Affliction warlock couldn't take on 2 normal mobs like it was back in vanilla! The solution was to change spec (even with wrong azerite gear equipped) to either Demonology or Destruction and turn off pet AoE so I wouldn't accidentally aggro a non-aggressive crab that was sure to be the death if I was Affliction. I had a similar experience as a hunter in Shadowlands in Torghast and Korthia, both necessitating swapping specs to BM initially!

  7. Even the translator seems remorseful in YoshiP apology of the delay. YoshiP is also exhibiting great leadership with responsibility shouldering all of it and sparing his development team and rest of Square Enix upper management of the delay by being out front and shouldering all of it. He’s also earned all the Goodwill of the player base given the delay overtime as the game director having turning the game around and over all the expansions. Boss Level Heartfelt Leadership, YoshiP.

  8. I feel like these comparisons doesn't make much sense.

Yoship is apologizing for mistakes (1.0, late announced delay etc), while the other guy just acts like people giving those feedback are full of shit and he is the only one with the true answers.

  9. So, I am a ffxiv player all the way, and I adore Yoshi-P. I also don't mind the delay, but I have to admit that the first two jokey replies from Ion to be rather amusing and sympathetic. Seems like as time passed he became jaded/arrogant.

  11. The warlock answer was a joke, he goes onto explain why and what they are looking at for the spec in general. clips out on the net. Q&A bingo is something a lot of streamers would play on stream during the q&a and would cross out answers that always come up, bit of a running joke in the WoW community. He pauses for 1.5 seconds cause the GCD was increased and the question was asking why, again he went onto explain the clips out there on the net. heart of azeroth was the same the same thing just making a joke out of it.

That being said 🙂 the WoW devs have been terrible lately and you only have to look at twitter to see how combative they are however these clips are being taken out of context. Blizzard could certainly learn a bit of humility from yoshi and how they handle things thats for sure.

  12. 1.0 FFXIV learned from WoW, now its time for WoW to learn from FFXIV, starting from the attitude.

Assuming the incompetent asshats with inflated egos in Blizzard can even do that. I mean, one group of devs have people there working hard while keeping his cancer hidden from the majority of the team, while the other group of devs are harassing their own female employees….
