I remember when I did this for the first time ever everyone in chat was yelling “SHOW HIM YOUR HOLE!!!”
Huh, how did it went when encountered the God of Thunder, I wonder…
Raid chat: "Show him your hole!"
"Mustadio seeks a gap in your defenses."
Like i'm gonna fall for that, pfft
dead
Run, like rats in a casket
I really like this raid, these bosses (mustadio & agrias) are actually your friends that test you if you're able enough to face the true bad guy. the musics & dialogues're so cool.
I was able to react to it the first time
Haha so he found the raid in stormblood that he was saying he didn’t see it just couple days a go 😆
Honestly whoever designed this for sure knew we’d be screaming show your hole at each other
REVEAL THY RECTUM
ngl i dont get how being shot in the back is supposed to save u but maybe im thinking too hard over an mmo mechanic XD
Oh son of a bitch I’ve just realized how that mechanic works, having died to it every time.
I had the most unhelpful group lmao. Actually considering on the second to last boss one third of the team didn’t know what they were doing and wiped it shouldn’t be surprising.
It's the Matrix roof jump mechanic. Everyone falls the first time.
do the opposite of what you would logically think lol
I would love to see Preach reaction to count Cidolfus. One of, if not, the most iconic boss in game.
Man deceased.
Now, let's wait for Her Inflorescence where the mechanic is reversed
i wanna see him go through the math fight that elsewere in the SB alliance raids XD
Typical FF unintuitive mechanics. Expose the only part of your body that doesn’t appear to be shielded to the sniper rifle.
Not much you can do with this stuff until someone tells you. Then chat act that they’re cleverer than you because they did it ten times before.
I think if I remember correctly, my first time I got lucky and guessed that I was supposed to aim the gap towards the enemy. I was like, I’m either right and I’ll avoid damage, or I’m wrong and who knows.
I can’t remember exactly, but I think I thought that, oh sniper means they’re aiming at something. Maybe the gap is that thing I should point towards the boss? Let’s see if that works. And well, I was surprised it was right.
I don’t think this mechanic has ever killed me to this day. Prob just one of those I do well with. Some mechanics though, especially in EX or Savage, I suck at.
Or even one in Smileton of all things with the statues that shoot lasers but then will flip upside down. It’s like I think I understand it, but then I keep getting hit and dying. Maybe these flipping statues are my sniper rifle mechanic.
I learned this from another video but you get a debuff next to your name that tells you which side should be facing him.
Priceless reaction:
“What do we do! Run away!”
Love it
LOL, im also clueless at this encounter
this mech still stupid for me for first timers.
Who the fuck is going to think a open hole in a circle is your "safe zone" against a sniper? you are literally showing him THE ONLY OPEN PLACE he can shoot.
Classic Mustadio.
The first time I saw that I was like OK I got a shield. Cool. It's only got one side with a hole so let's put the hole on the other side of me so I won't get hit. To this day I still don't know why you put the hole towards him.
Why is the video at 1fps
To be honest, i will never get why it is the gap one has to face to him? It feels like: this is my weak point, shoot at it! Instead of: well, this side is shielded, come at me bro!
Still, i also remeber how hard it was to get into those lvl 70 raids, since no one wanted to do it and still up to this day, i see party-members drop the moment they see "rabanastre" or "orbonne" on the screen… and for a while i was with them. Nowadays, i'll do those any day rather than one paradigm breach. Those automata-raids are stylish as hell but… good lord the amount of mechanics that are thrown out in rapid-fire mode.
I really think the fact that you have to turn against him the hole in what seems to be a barrier while he's trying to shoot you down is really counter-intuitive.
God damn it, I need to get into this game for just the classic Final Fantasy bosses & this Final Fantasy Tactics raid, shit looks insanely awesome!!!
ah yes the 1 mechanic in that instance that without fail kills at least 1 player. Don't worry, I am sure majority of us if not everyone has died to that part at least once in their life.
This brings nack flashbacks of Mustadio memes
#1 favorite boss in the game. The boss, the VA, the music, the mechanics, all get me so hyped every time. Every boss in Orbonne rocks, especially Mustadio and TG Cid. Haven't even played Tactics lol but this series had me thinking about trying it out
PacMan eats the bullet
To be fair, it makes ZERO sense that you'd take LESS damage from revealing your weak spot to him than taking the shot head on.
It's so unintuitive and responsible for way too many deaths
The rite of passage
Raid screams: "SHOW YOUR HOLE!!!!"
You scream: "WHAT??"
You die. Someone actually explains after you die.
You don't die again.
You’re playing red light green light
A game for complete scrubs.
Stupid mechanic. Anyone in their right mind would think the 3 part is the shield and that opening is what you need to protect. Here it is in reverse. That is why most people fails to understand it. It even says that he seeks the opening which is exactly that 1 open part you logically would shield
I hope they bring this energy of raid back for the Endwalker Alliance Raid content. Shadowbringer's NIER content was cool, but not this cool by far.
