Twitter people have the reading comprehension level of a child.

I no longer see social media as worth it.
People being able to talk to family on the other side of the planet.
People being able to support each other no matter the distance.
People being able to aid each other during the lockdowns.
There was so much potential and instead we have made social media a pit of hate, false allegations and abuse, and somehow worse things too. Fuck it.
Twitter in general is just an echo chamber for idiots who can't think for themselves. People constantly get dragged into shit which doesn't involve them just by association. It is NOT wrong to read between the lines when it comes to accusations towards anybody and you should absolutely seek out the truth, don't always believe everything you read.

How about we believe people to explain themselves and bring forth substantial and genuine evidence before coming to conclusions? If its real, you'll have the proof. If you dont have proof, and start yapping nonsense because "you should just believe me" sorry, get bent.
Love ya Xeno but Spudz is correct. After almost 10 years I've just come forward and reported my own experience to the police. But I have very little, almost 0 evidence. I delayed reporting out of pure fear, thinking I'd never be believed, and also from the sheer impact of the trauma and having to relive it all over again.
I agree we need evidence I'm not arguing on your points for a minute because I actually agree with you. But I just want to say that there are more victims out there with 0 evidence than you'd think. Especially when it comes to grape or SA. Grape and SA crimes are not always violent either. These are things that happen in a most intimate setting where there are no witnesses. It's incredibly hard. For me as a victim having everyone say "we don't believe you" is incredibly hard, and a reason I delayed reporting to the police. In fact whilst I was in a relationship with my abuser, when I tried to reach out and tell people what I was going through, people sided with him and acted like I was a crazy woman. It was heartbreaking and traumatising that some people can just dismiss it without even taking the time to see.
If you know the person intimately, if it's your friend or family member or they've been in your life for a while, maybe they don't have evidence but you can have a deep conversation about it, see what their body language is, can they give you details, how do they act and react? You can sense a liar a mile off in a conversation like that because nothing adds up.
People who invent abuse make me absolutely sick, and they absolutely do. Often the perpetrators of abuse do this
To discredit the actual victim. It's disgusting so I understand the entire argument of needing evidence. An outsider, a stranger could never know who's honest and who's not 🙁
This is why i dont support or talk with crazy ppl. They think their 'identity' gives them any haggling ground, yeah…no. if they think they matter more than others or know morebthan others and persecute anyone who isnt aligned with them… Welp, you can stuff it up your ass 🤣

Logic is like kryptonite to these kinds of people and as soon as they resort to strawman arguments, or just make blind accusations without a shred of proof they can't be taken seriously. They can stay mad and hopefully, they're dumb enough to take it one step too far one day and get taken to court.

Hey Xeno – I hope you see this b/c I believe its pretty important to point out: I think another thing that is really frustrating, is that these misunderstandings with poorly socialized people that you actually agree with winds up opening the door to people that low-key disagree with both of you to seek validation.
Whoever that was that popped in and said "So being trans or gay doesn't make you automatically right about everything?" most definitely has at least some mild hang-ups that are homo/transphobia adjacent, and saw the situation as an opportunity to seek that validation from you, and you kinda gave it to them, without realizing it. I'd have just told that person to STFU cause they're clearly trolling from the opposite direction, and not at all speaking in good faith.
The crazy of the latter feeds the crazy of the former, and vice-versa. Food for thought.
