I just discovered the big Vtubers who are heading to FFXIV and Pekora’s first experience in the game is EXPLOSIVE.

  1. Just so people know, a lot of people including veterans have been banned for doing this to Asmon. I hope these people get the same treatment (seems they did because there were less people later) because FF14 staff don't tolerate that (unlike some other devs…). I really feel bad for her even if some of her reaction was a bit funny. The later part where she seemed much more annoyed though, poor Pekora.

  2. Tbh, this was cringe to the Nth degree, and people say WoW is Toxic, but this feels disingenuous. there's such thing as an Opposite side of the Spectrum people. I hate this community for these reasons -.-

  3. The stream is chaotic for sure. There were total 600k views in just 2 hours of her streaming. Most people couldn't take it so they left. Her live viewer stat dropped from 70k+ to 50k as soon as she entered Lower Deck in Limsa and kept up and down 50k to the end.

If there was no incident like this, she could even break Asmon record for 200k peak viewers. Asmon peaked 200k after 3 hours of playing because people saw 100k at first and many were curious so they clicked on the stream. Pekora started flat-out 70k when she tried to create new character.

I'm not here to say that Pekora is more famous. I want people to see that if they really love FF, please tell your community to stop following the girls in case you know one who does that. At this rate, I don't think Gura would ever want to play FF. And now most non-FF audiences of Pekora have a bad impression to FF due to the incident. Sighhhh

  4. It's Asmon all over again. People need to stop being so dumb and ruin what could potentially be an amazing experience. I get it, they're fans, but behavior like that just shows how little they care about their idol's experience. Damn morons should all be suspended for a few days just so they learn a lesson.

  5. I hope with the rise of Hololive players coming to FFXIV their fans realize this is wrong. If they want a FFXIV stream, they need to stay away and let her play the game. The welcome parties are great, but mobbing them everywhere and killing their quest enemies ruins the experience. After a few minutes of “wow that’s a lot of people” it gets annoying.

  6. not super familiar with Pekora, but my guess is that she's plays a jokingly brash/angry person. Most of what she was saying were more like "loving" insults than actually being mad. Towards the end of her stream, when she's talking about Asmon, someone mentions that people can get banned for mobbing and she laughs while saying "you guys are going to get banned"

  7. The biggest issue she was having is the people doing the trolling is not her fans, I mean one DM was asking for special acts to be done, the rest is the toxic FFXIV players, I'm hoping we can prevent this for IRyS who plays tonight.

  8. For those out of the loop. The GMs do take their job seriously and do investigate. This means it takes time to get the bans done. Unfortunately doing the job well does not mean to do the job fast.

  9. Pekora was playing on a ps4 so there was less people on screen but she wasnt able to move from the Tutorial area into the city for a while because the town was fully crowded.
What I thought was the worst is before the very first movie was even over some guy sent her tons of provocative chat to her in game TELL.
I wanted to see her reaction to the story, but it doesn't look like it will last long.

  10. I don’t understand mobbing people in an MMO while their streaming even if you are a fan. Like, just watch the stream. There’s absolutely no need to bother them. You won’t be able to see them anyways with the absurd amount of people mobbing them anyways.
