Dragoon now can ignore positionals when they use the eye buff, samurai getting HUGE damage buffs, Black Mage getting MORE damage!? We have A LOT to talk about here.

  1. It got me thinking with these increase in range of party buffs, does that mean that the arenas we will be seeing in fights during this patch & going forward be much bigger than usual?

  2. Pretty good stuff but you glossed over the more important change for collective unconscious for ast.

    The mit portion of it now has a 5 second effect making the thing actually usable now as a reliable mit without losing uptime. If we take in account that it's a 60 sec cd for it, ast essentially has a working reprisal now, which imo is so huge. The fact that it's 30 yalms is just the cherry on top but imo not as massive as that 5 second mit.

    drk had dps that was what it has if it doesnt win at that then what does it have? nothing

  4. Oh sweet, so where's the warrior's self healing nerfs to put it in line with Drk?
    Or is it just going to be the fat kid on the playground with every super power?

  5. It's great to see the small buff for black mage just to make the gap between casters a bit bigger. But not giving red mage any dps buffs when it's already lacking behind by a big margin just makes me sad. I guess my favourite job will be thrown in the bin after 1st week of prog and see no use just like 6.1 machinist

  6. ASTs CU change where mit is given a 5s duration means AST players no longer need to snapshot the mit onto players before a raidwide which you see alot of high level players utilize by it can be clunky; good change

  7. they seem to lift a lot of placement constraint. Like yea we are in protean but what ever I still hit everyody with my spell. Or the arena are about to get BIG

  8. I'm glad BLM got a little love this time, I honestly think it should be the top DPS if all jobs are played perfectly being a turret. And I've been playinf SCH every patch day in EW so all the range increases(and carbuncle!) is gonna feel so nice, there's always someone way off in a corner just out of range in the chaos of patch day.

  9. So anytime I see these type of job changes i immediately think oh you’re making the game easier. Especially the healer buffs. It’s up to the DPS and Tanks to be in close enough proximity of the healer to get the buff. Not be on the other side of the map.
    It’s the usual stuff though. The longer a game is out, they are going to make it easier and easier for new players.
