  1. 100% appreciate and love that Sophie did not want to say line 2 to Themis. XD I felt the same way!

    Anyway: Lore Bomb!

Lahabrea was killed in Azys Lla, absorbed into the sword Ascalon, which lays there still (possible future event?). Apparently the Heart of Sabik was left there by him, which Claudien went to collect under Athena's manipulation, in order for her to be reborn through him.

If you did the Ivalice alliance raids, you get a 3rd option after P10 asking if Athena ever met the Ultima the High Seraph, there is a follow up with the scientists afterward as well with regards to that after the raids are done. Lahabrea states that he doesn't know if Athena ever met Ultima, she never did say where she found the Auracite, but concluded that it did not come from this star. (Another possible future expansion?)

This would make some sense, as the spell with her name is cast by many of the bosses here, Athena casting it exactly like Ultima Weapon did, even using the same line Lahabrea used back in ARR. So, there may be more to Ultima the High Seraph and her importance to the story here, if she did in fact cause the influence on Athena, which in turn caused Lahabrea to become mad over time once he embraced his old memories once more and, as you rightly mentioned, his possession of that Auracite. In a way, she is the source of the cause of many events that took place, including driving the stoic Lahabrea into the madman he became.

Speaking of, it was nice to see that, at one point, he was a decent, if flawed, man. Made so many personal sacrifices for the sake of the star. It's almost a shame to know what he becomes with that madness and the grief that comes with the passing of time. Goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover and I'd love more Ascian lore.

And finally… Themis/Elidibus. First we were a pawn, then Warriors of Darkness, then Warrior of Light and finally, Friend. We got to give our boy a happier farewell, after seeing his transformed state (which I'll admit, I was curious to see. You could see the WoL and Zodiark influences in his design). That made me tear up a little. One last time, Rest In Peace, Elidibus; once considered dull and boring, you swiftly became a fan favourite and rightfully so.

  2. Aw man, I just watched Grind Gear Games' reaction of the Seat of Sacrifice trial and the cutscene after in 5.3 with Elidibus. To see him in these cutscenes and then immediately see that again hits hard.

  3. How come you guys started using the auto-progress option on the non-voiced dialogue boxes as well? I personally much preferred it the way you had it before, where only the voiced dialogues auto-progressed while you could take your time on the non-voiced dialogues that you had to voice yourselves. There were quite a few times when you had to rush the lines, plus you couldn't give your thoughts on what you'd just read before. Hope you consider going back to how you did it before. Nice reaction as always. 🙂

  4. Damn, you guys didn't do Ivalice raid?! It drops a HUGE lore bomb and dialogue choices during this raid at few points! Like, really big stuff! Still, amazing reaction as always! But I do hope you do it and then revisit those dialogue choices, because it's really relevant!
