  1. You can resolve Ice/Fire easier for pattern 1, without thinking much about it.

    – Top/Bottom same element = Take element on second set.
    – Top/Bottom opposite elements = Stay in the middle for second set.

It's been brough to my attention that this indeed does not work for pattern 2. Here's what to do :

Everyone resolves it the same except for the tanks and NE/SW players.
    – If top explodes first, OT will swap north on second set, and OT and SW will swap spots on 3rd set.
    – If bottom explodes first, MT will swap south on second set, and MT and NE will swap spots on 3rd set.

    Hope that helps!

  2. The way to do the 2nd set of colors, is as follows. You always need to have 4 red, and 4 blue, no matter who it is on so no one takes a damage down. So, the way to do it is everyone soaks their initial one, then Melee DPS go mid, keep their original color. Ranger DPS and Healers go south to swap colors, and Tanks go North to swap colors for the 2nd hit. Now you have 4 people with Red and 4 people with blue. To also make it consistent, we have the healers and Melee dps go back to their original spot for the 3rd hit, and Range dps swap with Tanks. So, there will be a tank NW and a tank NE. While a range DPS is N and a range DPS is south. This way, everyone is on the correct spot for the 3rd hit, resulting in no damage down.

  3. Just for knowledge on temperance phase:

when the boss hand with purple glowing is at the bottom like on 3:30 means that the crystals will explode from the bottom to top.
when the boss hand with purple glowing is at the top like on 5:48 means that the crystals will explode from the top to bottom.

  4. Amazing description on the gem portion. Poor description of the pizza part. You glossed over that portion without explaining much at all, and your gameplay didn't reflect what you were saying. It doesn't sound like you had full confidence in your understanding of the raid outside of the gem portion. This was very helpful, but it would've been 10x more helpful if you decided to take 20 or so minutes to better translate your prog into words.

  5. You can also resolve the 2nd Intemperance pattern pretty easily like so:
1st step everyone takes their damage.
2nd step healers and one dps next to OT square takes ice from OT square, other 3 DPS and MT stay middle, OT goes to MT square.
3rd everyone except the DPS that took ice from OT square and OT go to their initial squares. OT and DPS switch squares.
this way everyone except OT has a simple route to follow: 3 DPS and MT go their square – middle – their square; both Healers go their square – OT square – their square; 1 dps next to OT square goes their square, then OT square and they stay there. only the OT goes their square – MT square – DPS square. like this the MT also stays in his original spot.

  6. A trick for the intemperance: Look at the top and bottom crystals in your spot. If they're of different color, you need to head to center for the second explosion, then head back to your spot for the third. If they're of the same color, you need to head either North or South (the color opposite yours after the first explosion) to swap colors before heading back to your spot. There. Done.

  7. For 2/1 tile, OT and one dps buddy take their own clock first, then go to the N or S that's opposite of their current debuff, then go to your buddy's clock spot.

It's just that, asking tank to take 2 dmg down is plain dumb and prolongs the fight

  8. If you are looking for a non Tank-Damage Down way for Jewels for the following weeks and not Week 1 Prog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CWxPhl8kAE might be helpfull :D.
I know tanks are upset about this, but this is the way we managed to clear the fight and if it worked for us it can work for you aswell. We are not refining past bosses mechanics while progging on the next couple of bosses, because keep in mind this was during day 1 of Raid-Release and we tried to kill as many bosses as possible. If the guide helps only a hand full players get the clear, I am more than happy and can live with a single OT Damage Down, even tho I can understand the anger from Tanks 100%. I am also confident enough to say that most people are intelligent enough to understand those strats are from hardcore Prog, but for everyone who think that I think "THIS IS THE MOST OPTIMAL WAY TO DO IT", no i dont and i said that multiple times. Thanks for all the love โค

  9. I have an idea how to solve 2nd pattern for intemp: Have two Ranged in NE and SE corners. Depending on Top/Bottom or Bottom/Top explosions. That ranged dps will take their spot- their tank spot during 2nd mech resolve and then move to the opposite side. Depending on who has the double element.
For example If he pops it Top/Bottom and its Double ice on South. The SE ranged dps will take South spot during 2nd cast and Head North as the North Tank takes SE and South tank resolves normally. If I assume it works correctly and you just need a body for a spot during 2nd resolve no one gets the Damage down.

    Soak=Their Original Clock Spot

    Top/Bottom Ice Ice Fire:

    SE Ranged- SE-S-N

    South Tank- Soak-Mid-Soak

    North Tank- Soak-Soak-SE

    Bottom/Top Fire Ice Ice:

    NE Ranged- Soak-North-South

    North Tank- Soak-Mid-Soak

    South Tank- Soak-Soak- NE

Healers and others would resolve like normal to resolve their spots.

  10. easiest way ive seen intemperence after choosing a clock spot, focus on the tile CW rotation from your position and focus on getting that right. if SE makes you fire and S ends on ice, dont need to do anything. if SE makes you fire and S ends up fire, for the 2nd explosion you take an ice then resolve S on the 3rd explosion.
