  2. Just a bit of clarification of Akademia Anyder's Lore. Anyder was responsible not only for cataloguing every single creation made and approved by the Bureau of the Architect, but was also a location where the Words of Lahabrea were based, and where research was done on the very act of Creation Magicks and their creations. Testing would be done beyond what was done at the Bureau of the Architect. If the creation was deemed to dangerous, the concept would be sent to Elpis for testing and revision. If it was even too dangerous for Elpis, it'd go straight to Pandaemonium. So much recently had been sent straight to Pandaemonium, that Themis said it was odd that Pandaemonium wasn't built under Anyder instead of under Elpis. Below are spoilers for the Dungeon:

Within the Dungeon, you run through three halls, each a base of operation and study for three separate groups lead by a Convocation member. The Words of Mitron, where aquatic life was made and studied, The Words of Halmarut, where plantlife was studied, and the Words of Lahabrea, where beasts were studied. Since the Pandaemonium is ALSO staffed by the Words of Lahabrea, you have an entire fort filled with mythical beasts, like Hippokampus, Phoinix, or Proto-Carbuncle. The entire reason you go into Akademia Anyder is because one of the more violent creations, Archeotitania, broke free and destroyed the place while escaping. That creature is the Super boss fate in the Tempest.

  3. I love this video. Great job. My hype was immesurable when I noticed those 3 Ascian themes. And I love it's not music for them while they were mortal as Ancients (although living incredibly long) like in Amaurot and Elpis but it's specifically themes of them as Ascians, after their souls got separated through Echo after the Sundernig. And then Anyder theme, to let us know we're dealing with Lahabrea.

  4. Without Shadow sounds similar to music that plays in Kingdom Hearts for Organisation XIII.
And with the robes and the teleporting effects and the fact that there's 13 (red masked) Ascians.
Now imagine if Sora had to fight the Ascians instead of Organisation XIII

  5. Did these raids on patch Tuesday – and I literally can't wait to jam to these for hours and hours with my static in savage. The great music genuinely helps you gloss over the frustration of failing at a video game 100's of times

  6. I must say it’s refreshing to hear someone say that content like this is hard. I also do not do extremes or savage and I find this type of content to be rather challenging, in a fun way. Also, excellent music analysis and reaction. Thanks!

  7. I completely threw this song to the side since I only heard it the once when I cleared P8 for the first time. I was so focused on mechanics I didn't hear any of the motifs. I was actually disappointed since "Scream" from P6 and P7 was the song I was expecting for P8 since it was the song featured in the patch trailer. Now that I can hear the motifs used in "Embers" I can actually appreciate the song, and it makes a lot of sense why it was used for P8 now.

That being said, "Scream" is still my song of choice for this patch. It's just a bop.

  8. Hepheistos resembles the lahabrea we know more than the old and original lahabrea, and the music highlights this. Also, as a slice of lahabreas soul and memory AND curiosity and his most twisted desire as a researcher. Single minded in his pursuit

  9. I love my video game music a lot but I think I am… "musically challenged".
I didn't realize Thunderer was Shadows Withal. Just like barely a few weeks ago I realized Carrots of Happiness (which I've been crazy over since the job trailer before EW released) had the EW theme. I only realized it when I was whistling it while cooking. And a bit later that Radz-At-Hand's jam is Flow, under practically the same circumstances. lol

Anyways, love this dude's energy and analysis, I'm in.

  10. I've managed to find the Crystal Prelude in near enough all FFXIV songs lol sometimes it's pretty hidden like it's energetic, sometimes it's not exact (as if it's skipping down the road), and sometimes it's just right in the forefront

  14. Just discovered your channel and love your content. Always great seeing music experts explore video game OSTs.

You should really check out some Warhammer 40,000 game OSTs, they are basically unanimously loved by the playerbase/fandom.

For example, Dawn of War II's OST in general is iconic and has really created the blueprint for the music in many WH40K games. For the Craftworld and Pit of Maledictus are my personal favourite tracks.

Then there's Mechanicus, with one of the most original and creative OSTs i know of. Two words: synths and pipe organs! Children of the Omnissiah and Noonsphere are stand out tracks.

Theres plenty more amazing music in the games i mentioned and tons more WH40K games with equally great OSTs. Hope you check them out!

  16. I absolutely love how you reminds us which were the original songs, I cannot for the life of me remember where I've listened them for the first time even if I've been doing so for the past seven years. Thank you!
