Honestly your choice as a Roegadyn is completely fine. I personally love Lalafells and they're cute and I love how the cutscenes look dorky to adjust to these tiny potatoes but honestly the joke at looking at everyone's ankles and not seeing shit would wear of very quickly. Besides the Roegadyn has this dumb himbo energy that feels fitting for this challenge.
That is mean, having to dislike for a poll… why not just make a community post

Yeah, since we can't see the character most of the time anyway, just stay as a Roe, the better first person viewpoint is for the best. Anyone wanting you to switch is probably just wanting to annoy you lol

from a viewer perspective, id personally rather you stay roe. i can imagine the motion sickness would be more extreme with lala, along with not seeing much! I agree with all your points!

Pretty sure the reason people want you on Lala is specifically BECAUSE it makes things harder. If you're going to do a challenge run, why would you make decisions to mitigate how challenging it is? Same logic as whether or not you should have taken the death, if you DIDN'T people would just complain because it feels like you're cheating. Personally, I want a Lalafell because I think the whole appeal of this challenge is getting to see the world from a new perspective you wouldn't get in a traditional playthrough and the Lalafell line of sight would further amplify that (also I just like Lalafells). But I also think that having to dislike the video to convey that feels mean-spirited and I like your content and don't want to do that to you so oh well. Do what you want, ultimately, but always be wary of the consequences.

Honestly play whatever race you want. People actually complaining over not picking Lala is kind of pathetic if you ask me. Besides, those absolute fuckin UNITS are kinda rare to see people playing, so stay Hulk if you want to and don't let people tell you what to play.
Ignore the lalafell zealots. They want everyone to be a lalafell. It's probably the same group of people that badger every streamer to be one.

Lalafell players do not comprehend that the first person view roegadyns have, is only available to lalafell when they're put onto the lalafell lifter

I think your logic on the Roe viewer experience is spot on. I don't know whether Lala would be a harder challenge, but it's definitely more fun as a viewer to be able to see a little more of the field than just staring at the boss's knees all battle.
The choice of race means nothing, you can hold ctrl+arrow keys to shift the camera up or down, regardless of race. Lala first person would be roegadyn crotch view, but you can just ctrl+down and have that anyway, as a roe.
Or ctrl+up as a lalafell to have the camera at the height of viera ears.
I like to be able to see the game very much
LMAO I wouldn't have imagined people to complain of your layout, of all things. To me it's always super interesting to see people's setups and motivations for them, it often gives me ideas to tweak my own! I guess you know you've made it when you get these types of complains.

I play Lalafell, I would never not be a lalafell but I do not play first person. I’ve gone first person before and it’s awful. I understand why you’d choose to not be a lala. Because why would anyone want to deal with that FOV while also trying to game. The challenge is hard enough. People are being hung up over this because you “made things easier” but not you choosing to avoid Extremes which would have been more of an argument (don’t force yourself to do that btw).
Also I hope these same people are going to Rath and asking why he didn’t choose the race with the weakest physical stat since we just want everyone to play XIV Darks Souls now.
Think we could get a community poll or something for this race decision.

tbh when u mentioned about lalafells I saw it as "hm this is a fun avenue I could try if I played it myself",, I don't think it's fair to force you to play it
Keep da meat, skip da potatoes
as a shorty main switching to other races actually disorientates the shit out of me, and with melee dps like Monk it's hard for me to figure out where my hitbox pixel even is. But playing in 1st person I can barely even see over some of the smaller mobs in the game let alone gauge my position for the AoEs you described. strategically and viewing wise a normal or taller sized race makes way more sense for this in the long run.
