  2. I think there's some legitimate fear from the FF14 of "midcore" content. Currently there's just Savage raiding and then faceroll content. Nothing in between and so the identity crisis is not particularly daunting for the playerbase as a whole. I think once you start adding in midcore content and the gameplay meta starts to shift around, a good portion of the player base may have to come to the truth that they're not just not "hardcore and sweaty" savage players, they're not even "decent" at all at the game they spend 40 hours a week playing lol

  3. I have watched many of your videos since I found you, but these podcasts are truly next level. You are an amazing interviewer, and you have a real talent for interesting and entertaining conversations with your guests! Keep it up, can't wait to see more! <3

  4. Confused by the m+ discussion – m+ is already balanced like they are talking. Progression brackets like 18 and 20s are not that punishing i.e. missed kick = die. You can make a lot of mistakes and still time these keys and progress your character.

  5. Going to get a lot of hate for this… but wow people like her are just unbelievable, ffxiv changed your life? It made you appreciate other games? I do not understand people… you someone never played games just to fun before now? What? I guess I should just be happy I am not apart of the brain rot that games like COD, LOL, and WOW have done to people that makes them become so narrow minded and focused.

  7. This was a fun interview. I can resonate with FF14 teaching you to appreciate other parts of an MMO. This past year I went back to Wow for the first time since Legion. Leveling a new character I found myself listening to the in game music, reading the story, doing some side stories if I liked the characters. It's actually made me enjoy Wow so much more. And realize that game also has some awesome music. GW2 has also helped me with the idea of just enjoying the journey, as that game's open world is designed for freely wandering around and discovering things.

  8. I don't play Wow or do savage raids in FFXIV, but I wonder if a system like M+ would translate well into FFXIV. Since FFXIV fights are dances, once you know the dance, would it really be fun to repeatedly run the same dance but with bigger numbers? I feel like there would need to be some additional random elements added, perhaps something like WoW's affixes, but the additional testing required to account for all these random elements might make such a system too expensive to develop.
