If the DPS waltz in onto the boss when I'm making a point to wait for the rest of the group to start the encounter, good luck soloing it or die. Then get raised by the healer you didn't wait for or go respawn because some ego can't take a weakness.
Whenever a DPS does that, I'm going to remember that they want friendship and a place to belong (as well as a slight bromantic relationship) with me – as their Tank. Their big, strong, naive Tank
I'm main tank. My only job is to smash run, tank the mobs and keep running ahead. Idc if a DPS pulls as long as he hands the aggro over naturally by not running away from me like a headless chicken. If I take forever to pull a group or pull one group at a time, it's kind of my own fault DPS runs ahead. Their job is to kill as fast as possible. Healer's job is to heal if needes, otherwise dps. My job is to make sure groups are stacked properly and limit dmg taken so the others can do their job mostly unconcerned.
I hate it when this happens, like if you wanna be ahead of everyone, just play a tank and control the pace of the run. It's people always running away from their responsibilities while wanting the benefits of tank role, at least bring that shit back to me, but no, they take the mobs on, on their own. Shit's wack.
I don't like it just because they usually ruin my pull and make me chase stuff down or stop my pull to grab it. I've started to just let them have aggro on stuff they pull out of my aoe range and grab it at the end of the pull if they bring it to me.
Tank main here, had a healer in a lower level dungeon who kept pulling ahead and ignoring thevrest of the party when we tried talking to him about it in chat. So I turned off my tank stance and let him tank since he seemed so keen on the idea
Look man, as fun as it is to pull as DPS, it's also fun to see them die before healer gets there because they ran ahead before we realized and didn't bring em back lol. Which has happened a few times to me as the tank. Though this usually only happens on earlier dungeons, too many turns and corridors to try and grab aggro off of em quick enough but at least the much higher level content has wider corridors and easier to grab things off of people.
As a tank main. If the dps wants to give me free mitigation and arrange my pull closer to me, I'll gladly comm them. More people need to realize this is a higher level party strategy.
If a dps actually manages to run in front of me and pop arm’s length, it makes me genuinely happy. Like “someone else wants to finish this dungeon as quickly as I do.”
I love to run before the tank but when approaching adds i start walking so he has time to pass infront of me

It always has been and always will be a race
Two warnings to the DPS. Otherwise he gets an kick. Im to old for this BS.
Just be faster than the DPS
I get annoyed when DPS pull when I'm tanking, let me do my job or you'll be the mobs or boss's next meal
I love when ppl run ahead and pull shit for me. lmao. Idk why so many ppl get pissed over it.
As a viper I can heal myself until the tank gets there it’ll be fineeeee….
So many self-reports from confidently bad tanks in here. Like… just wow.

"Oops, i accidentally turned off my tank stance….."
I hate when the healer does it
Is it just me or is it mostly the healers who run ahead and pull LOL
"You pull, you tank,"
-removes tank stance
Either they learn, or they go back to que.
Honestly I don’t care. I don’t let my party get below half hp.

I main Red Mage. I do damage and heals. With a little bit of luck, i can be a tank too
Both the new classes having kite buttons is awesome. Vpr especially is great for it

Heres another fun fact
Graha and Thancred will go out of their way to pick up mobs you pull.
So why are pc tanks acting like this? Because hitting 2-3 buttons is really hard i guess.
