  1. While it's nice they didn't take any action on Youtube or in game, this feels like a police officer letting you off with a warning. I think the smart thing to do is just accept the warning and find other content even in the future.

  2. we all know how this works, this time u were the unlucky guy who got a warning. We know that other creators use mods but square dont do anything, well, u were the chosen one, get the advise and keep playing safe.

  3. I wish they gave us more customization content and not just (Alliance raid – New criterion – New savage – one new eating emote with a different cookie) and there would be no need for mods, or a minimal need for them. Not saying you can't play without mods, but……. Sure is a lot of QoL there. The fact that this game has no chat bubbles baffles me.

  4. Is funny that on the current screenshot competition they say that if they see that in your screenshot you're using third party tools you will be disqualified….. but they might use your photo anyway xD
They know the game looks better with mods and yet don't do much to offer an alternative. The graphics update looks… okay but not nearly as good as it could.

  5. To be blunt, this was inevitable. The visibility on this platform, and for you specifically, is just too high. I doubt they would have an issue with anyone "just talking about mods", nor with using mods to make content without mentioning them, but guides, recommendations, etc. is just too close to outright endorsement for them to ignore completely.

  6. As a company it make sense for content creators to get a slap on the wrist for using mods/promoting mods due to the simple fact if you are modifying we are losing money from the trash glamour we sell to you in the mog station

  7. I’m sorry but I’m on the end of… if you want to mod and do PC things then get a PC. They are not all created equal and that is ok. The player chooses what platform to play on same as you choose what you are going to eat.

Mods that help you cheat to win, yes, should be unusable and a ban able offense but let’s be real… if the world first raiders are using them to win, how many people do you think are using them that aren’t streaming or playing publicly.

  8. I see the title and I'm crying ^^°

I think its because modding has such a bad reputation with all the NSFW stuff you find there. Some people simply go there to find different tail shapes for miqos, or more hair styles in general, maybe texture upgrades and whatnot. Its not always naughty stuff (though it is the stuff that jumps in your face the moment you logg on…), but its what people think about first and formost. I can imagine SE not wanting to share a spot with that…

As for good old Desperius: keep up the good work 🙂 Dafür sind wir alle schließlich da ^.^

  9. That's a shame. Hopefully someday they expand to allow modding like other games do. But no idea what's involved on that on the technical level, and honestly I think your commentary on modding consoles is likely why we don't have official support. Just a guess, though! Glad your channel and account are still safe, at any rate!

  10. G-shade and Re-shade can typically be seen like a video game cover:

You can remove it from the plastic sleeve, replace it, turn it inside out, whatever, it doesn't effect the core game files and is typically just make the game nicer to look at without touching any game files if at all. Most of re-shading (From what I can gather) is Post-Processing meaning that it's like those old-school 3-D Glasses with the colored lens, The comics would still be the same, but You see it through those colors.

Nvidia does a similar post-processing process and since it's built in or free to use that would require square them dealing with graphics card manufacturers as well. Heck, My Nvidia Effects doesn't even show up in streaming/recording software.

    That's the difference.

Post-Processing Visual Effects are not directly effecting games like mods would, if at all.

  11. I'm here for your content no matter what you cover! In fact I owe you a message O.O but yeah I'm just glad your account(s) are all safe. You're a great guy and make awesome content– don't let this get you down =]

  12. Well i would say you are wrong and stupid to make video on how to install mods……

It's risky for both you and modding community if mods are exposed… Better to stay away from it(which means u could use but don't talk about them)

    It's common sense tbh

  13. You sound so bitter, Desperius. You should be thankful you only got a warning.

Also, I think you are misrepresenting what Yoshi P said about wishing there was just one console system.

  14. SE, like Nintendo, are extremely heavy handed on their claims/takedowns, though you could probably easily say you're within fair use and within the guidelines they've given for content videos. Granted, SE and Nintendo don't recognize fair use as Japanese companies, so that would be a battle, better to just let them have the win.

  15. It's a shame the game has got so dated, and the UI is poor, that people have felt the need to start modding it. If they don't like visual or usability mods, then SE should improve the game. Mods that allow you to cheat should still be banned.

  16. I don't know why you ever thought it was okay
The one rule about mods is DONT PROMOTE MODS and that's exactly what you did
You're lucky they didn't ban your account or get you channel taken down

  17. I can say that yes, mods in other games are possible on consoles as there's a whole modding community for Farming Simulator games. There, the mods are tested by the developers before they are released to the mod hub they have. The console ones have an extra layer of testing to make sure brands of major farming equipments meets the requirements they ask the developers.

  18. I'd say this was expected. Whereas I wish modding was more accepted in the community as a whole, as long as we have purists in the community that want to physically harm anyone who change a single byte of data, this is just how it's going to be. The people who freak out over visual mods are mentally deranged.
