I love that they are doing different things. Instead of rehashing the same MMO. Or make another Theme Park MMO. They are doing something different and I really enjoy it. It has strengths and weaknesses. I look forward to its progress going forward.

New World has some rough edges to smooth out, but I do think there's some really solid ideas. I've enjoyed gather, crafting and questing as I go in this game. Combat feels good overall, but could still be improved. I was glad they moved away from open world PVP. Organized PVP is best. I think it's 100% the $40. The cash shop may not be worth engaging. I get crafted dyes being consumable. But consumable cash shop dyes? Yea no thanks. Personally if the Store is awful I'll just ignore it. It doesn't seem to be important to playing and enjoying the game "in it's current state" at least.
Fast forward to january when everyone is "surprised pikachu face" over pay to win boosts in the New World cash shop. Given all thats been made public, anyone who gets scammed on this deserves it.

Ugh, you guys got me excited for this game now, lol.
I wasn't sure if they were really throwing their money into it, but if it's truly a modern-day MMO engine–that's worth checking out to say the least. I'd like to check out something that isn't a decade old.
I want to try new world but it's gotta do something very special to get me off of 14.

No, I don't want to go see what "a really good parse looks like." (0:40). Parsing to get a clear is not the same as getting a clear within the rules. Why not just ask if I'd like to see a really good gathering bot in action?
I've not tried new world, too many people have stated it's crashed their computers and graphics card. Otherwise it looks fun.

On an unrelated note, kinda, what do you guys think of Japanese video game music being played during the opening ceremonies of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games? It has been trending on Twitter. I figured that Japan would pull something like this, with it being one of the world capitals of video games which has so done so much to pioneer video games and make them what they are today. Selections from Square Enix, Capcom, Sega, Bandai Namco, Konami, etc., titles were used. Square Enix were well represented with Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, NieR, SaGa, Chrono Trigger… You hear the Final Fantasy Main Theme by Nobuo Uematsu in many Final Fantasy games, including Final Fantasy XIV. I'm listening to the FFXIV version right now. What better PR can that be, on the world's biggest stage at the moment?
its bland.. and boring.. i dont know why any would be invested in it .. its just western boring cash grab mmo… at least the korean has better deigns and fun gameplay
But it was trash .. i will keep play FF14. since is jsut superior in every aspect and i know for a FACT that new world can not compete with FF14 …
I'm playing em both. New World is, um, okay. It's basically Albion Online, but better. They're two different genres of games however. Also, if you have a EVGA 3080/90 it will probably burn through your card as it's happened to many people already. My GPU runs 100% and 81c at ALL times.
I feel it's like a Assassin's Creed MMO with crafting. It's good, feels like mmo. IMO, The big flaw it's the region level. In a month or two, the initial regions will be dead. Even though they have the war system to try keep up. Will not change the feeling when we didn't see anyone.
I hope they come with something to keep the all regions alive.
I think I feel similarly to how brian feels about the game. For me, the game feels closer to Runescape than it does WoW/FFXIV/GW2/ESO. I am traditionally not a crafting/gathering type of MMO player, but in new world i have found myself enjoying simply spending time in the world. I love the fishing system as well. I didn't appreciate how much of a difference all of the small engine things make to an MMO. Seeing the actual fish I am going to catch in the water struggling against my reeling makes the experience more fun, Seeing the tree fall after i'm done cutting it and hearing the cling of the pickaxe against the rocks makes the new world feel different than the other competition in the market.
I'm personally not a fan of the combat and much prefer the ESO style of bar swapping and skill diversity. Having only 3 abilities that have a really long cooldown makes the game feel slow. I think this is an intentional design, I just don't like it as much as the typical build complexities found in WoW/FFXIV etc. However, if I passed judgement on FFXIV by only playing to level 25 I'd feel the same exact way.
I think that amazon has an incredible foundation for their game and I'm excited to see where they take the game.

We break His laws daily by not putting Him first, not thanking Him like we should, we lie, we lust, we have sex before marriage, we dishonor our parents, we covet things other people have, we take God's name and use it in vain, we use it in a low manner, sometimes as a cuss word, (God is holy and even His name is holy), we don't love like we should, etc. In doing so we're saying He's not a good provider, He's a liar, He's untrustworthy, He's not worthy of praise. All these things and more are counted against us. The bible says God is the just judge of the world and one day He will settle the score for all the wrong we've done. God is holy meaning He is righteous (morally perfect in thought, word, and deed) It also means He is set apart and higher than us. God being good, must punish all sin or wrong doing in the world. This means that if you sin one time God will cast you in hell for eternity. Because He is good and He doesn't turn a blind eye to sin. But there is good news. 2000 years ago Jesus the Son of God came into this world and lived a perfect life ( He never sinned once) and He died on the cross taking the wrath that we deserve and paid the penalty for the sins we committed. The bible says that if you will repent (confess and forsake your sins) and trust in what Christ did on the cross (He took the wrath of God that was meant for you and I) then all your sins will be forgiven and when you die you will be in heaven with God and all who believe for eternity. Jesus died and on the third day He rose from the grave. Get right with God today don't wait. Once you die after that comes the judgement. Hebrews 9:27 It's the most important thing you can do. You must be born again John 3:7 If you repent and trust in what Christ did on the cross it shows that you've been born again or born spiritually. Right now you're dead in your sins and you can't see the beauty of Jesus Christ but after you trust in Christ all the things you hate about God like obeying him, serving Him, loving Him and others, reading the bible, praying and going to church you will love to do those things because God changes your heart. That's how you know you have been born again and forgiven. Please think long about this and ask me any questions you have as this is the most important thing you can ever think of in your life. An eternity in hell (darkness and a lake of fire the bible describes it, with weeping and gnashing of teeth) or an eternity out of that place and into the loving arms of God who is infinitely glorious, has infinite knowledge and has infinite power to do all that He pleases.
