  1. Bro I love your videos. You're extremely entertaining to watch and I'm having fun watching you go on your journey.

I wish your videos were a bit higher resolution tho. It always looks blurry on my TV and phone =(

  2. so those level 50 monsters you see are called the "marks". There are ranks B, A, and S rank marks. Blue marks are usually rank B, and they won't attack you unless you attack. A & S rank they will attack if you go near it. If you Shout (/shout) the location of the mark in the chat, the rank, and the name, ppl might come and hunt it with you. The cactus you fought was rank A and the huge cute monstrosity kitty cat you saw was rank S

  3. Tia is actually the standard surname for Male Miqo'te who haven't started a harem and/or gotten married yet. You will meet a few more characters who use it – some more memorable than others.

  4. Those level 50 monsters are Mark whichis the part of "The Hunt" feature you can unlock. There are 3 ranks, B, A, and S and intended for max level of that expansion.
Rank B in not hostile and always present somewhere in the map. You only get reward from killing rank B if you take the job from bill board (in GC command for level 50, other locations for other expansion. Rank B is easy to solo at level. Gattling is ARR rank B

Rank A do not always present on the map, but respawn at 4-6 hours interval. They are harder to fight at level, but give better reward. Since they respawn to certain times, people usually organize group to kill the current max level ones, all in quick succession (usually called "train") That cactus is ARR rank A.

Rank S is the one that give biggest reward, but most of them take longer to spawn, and they only spawn when certain conditions are met. Unless you manage to get into group that focus on hunt, it might be hard to find one. If you manage to get into map as one show up, however, there would be notification about "presence of powerful foe".

This type of content is considered serious business for some, and different server handle them differently.

  5. Those lvl 50 are designed for a group of 50+ players. The don't attack unless you bother them or they take splash damage while you are fighting other things. Blue Sparky's attacks have a splash effect. Gold Sparky is a single target attack.

  6. I feel like your entire existence in eorzea will be complete once you have seen the gloriousness of the fat chocobo mounts along with their running and flight animations

  7. You can compare gear stats by right clicking to see if it's better than your current gear. And since you're close to the trial, it's best to tell other people that you're new so that they can tell you some specific mechanics for the boss. Communication is key! 😀

Also, I wonder if you would prefer this, but you can remove your name from the top of the character if you don't want to be distracted or want some more screen real estate. You can also change the colors off the npc names and enemies, as well as allies and other players around you.

  8. If you want to learn more about that skeleton in Northern La Noscea by Memeroon's Trading Post, do "The Hottest of Box Lunches" quest from the NPC at the trading post, and the follow-up quest "Buried Truth".

  9. Also i dont know if you know this but in character configuration you can try change your movement into legacy type which in my opinion makes it more flexible for you to move around

  10. I don't know if anyone pointed it out yet but you can actually customize your HUD in this game to a REDICULOUS degree. Go to system > HUD Layout and play around with it, you'll be able to find something that works for you and hopefully give your screen some breathing room.

  11. Take the equipment even if it is the wrong class or too low a level. You can sell it on the market board through your retainer and the return gil is much higher than selling Allagan pieces at a merchant.

  12. General rule of thumb is that if it's a big glowing evil crystal coming out of the ground, it was from Bahamut blowing up the continent. If it's more mechanical and Allagan, it's from pieces of the moon itself falling all over.
