  1. The previous Twitch event was just related to watching people play FFXIV for a certain amount of time and didn't require buying any subs.

Also feel that it is important to mention that the Red Snowman Mount (if you didn't get it during the Starlight Celebration it was added with) currently costs 12 USD/9 Euros (compared to 18USD/15 Euros for the Twitch campaign one) and that is WITHOUT the Starlight Celebration sale that will occur at the same time as the campaign.

  2. Honestly I think they could have been a bit more reticent to change the original design and then release it for the twitch related stuff like for instance making the snowman having a snow cone motif with a predominant purple and white snow cone theme. That would be probably different enough that it would get people's attention.

  3. Aside from how we could obtain the Chocomount at DT launch, I'm with you on this one because not only it's just a reskin that's meh, whatever, cool I guess? But also, I'm sure it's similar in other region, but here in Italy a sub is 5 EUR, while the original shop mount is 8, so…Kinda weird.
At the very least, these paid promos need to have something more unique or limited, the previously region locked mounts are a good deal even when attached to twitch subs IMO. If I want to support a streamer I just do so, no need to make me have a worse deal than their own online store LMAO

  4. As a Free Trial player myself, an important note is that you can get item codes for things like this but you cannot redeem them until your account is upgraded. (It says as much in the FAQ but just in case someone misses it or their eyes glaze over at that section lol)

So a Trial player can still participate and get a code for their trouble (and support their streamer of choice), but you'll have to hold onto the code until the time if/when you upgrade to the full game. Then you can redeem it and receive it in game.

  5. Damn, what happened to twitch. So money hungry. I haven’t been on there a lot. And the basic sub of 5$ back then isn’t 5$ anymore. Like eew. Lots of ads and expensive a month sub. If only it’s not’s a reskin, I might consider subbing to my fave streamers. But I think I’ll pass

Thanks for the info though Happs

  6. If I didn't have some 14 streamers that I like to watch I 100% would NOT gift subs to some random person just to get this mount. Also streamers who stream for over a set amount of time should also get this mount. They shouldn't need to gift subs. Just my opinion.
