New FFXIV Changes Could Prove Final Fantasy Presentation Is Real

Final fantasy 14 will be making changes to its subscription payment, and platform. people over on the gamingleaksandrumors page suggest that this could give more truth to the final fantasy presentation leak we got a few weeks ago. If the final fantasy 35th anniversary presentation is real, then it would mean games like ff9 remake, final fantasy x-3 will be revealed. This is becoming more exciting as we get closer to February 7th. If nothing happens on February 7th, I wont be upset.

  1. I'd love to play a single player action role playing game remake of Final Fantasy XI. Though I hope Square Enix looks at games like Greedfall, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Risen Series, and Elex for inspiration to make the character you create and play as more interactive with the world around them and more included in the story. I also want to see voice acting from the character we play as in interactions with npcs, the people, the world, and the cutscenes so it feels like a storied world we're apart of. Hell voice acting for everyone in the game. Also hoping Unreal Engine 5 is used for it's development.

  2. We've gotten new ads for XIV recently with no mention of merging subscriptions. XIV and XI will both no longer accept JCB cards in the US, but there's no mention of them merging. Near daily updates for the X kabuki play are coming out, no mention or tease for X-3. SoP has its DLC livestream soon, but no mention in the "leak." There's a chip tune album in the "leak," but no mention of Uematsu's modulation album. Distant Worlds Eorzean Symphony is there, but no Distant Worlds 35th Anniversary Coral. No Radiant Melodies FFVII. There's also no Acoustic Arrangements 35th Anniversary Album, yet we're getting ads for it on the SQEX YouTube channel. Maybe that all falls under the purview of Square Enix Store or something. Brave Exvius Another Story Chapter 2 is out, but no mention in the leak. No Parco collaboration mention for the JP fans either.

Maybe something will happen with Square in February, but there's not a whole lot to go on at this point. This doesn't help much. The bigger hints seem to be the timing of the Microsoft Direct and any potential announcement by Sony in the coming weeks.

  3. I'd LOVE for you to play FFXIV. I'm sure you'd fall in love with it. In terms of expansions, ARR is really slow but great setup & very important. HW is amazing & along some of my fav FF games when it comes to story & emotion, STB is good and ShB and EW would probably make FFXIV into one of your favorite games/stories of all time. Because that's what beat even my nostalgic love for 7, 6 & 9 and made 14 my favorite FF by far. Oh yeah, and music in 14 SLAPS! And in later expansions, you're gonna cry… A lot. Feels hit hard & world building is top tier. So is the dialogue.

  4. I think the actual event may be true. However, I think this is just a list of what Square Enix wants to make. However, as usual, several releases may be announced later, like Final Fantasy IX Remake, which I think may not Be announced later this year but rather in 2024.

  5. I think the leaks could be true. As far as a FF9 remake, I don't think it will be a complete from-the-ground-up remake like FF7. I think it will be similar to how they called The Last of Us for PS5 a "remake", although the only changes were a few new animations and gameplay improvements. I hope I'm wrong, because I think FF9 is a very underrated game. As far as a X-3… please, please let it be true!!

  6. Another point that adds to the validity to the leak is Square Enix’s attempt to revive FF11 via a remake that was outsourced to a Korean developer which was ultimately cancelled in 2020.

You can extrapolate as to what happened to the ill fated project, but you wouldn’t need to look further to find another game that had a similar timeline of events, which is the development of FF7R by CyberConnect 2 from 2015 to 2017 being canned and brought the project internally.
