Okay that version of Omega looks like the FF 15 version with a few changes.
that omega design is pretty much a reminiscent of classic design from old FF games
One thing I would love to see now that during ShB they worked really hard to rework crafting as a whole, is that they updated some crafting animations. It's a lot of work though for such a meaningless thing however, that I'd be glad if lvl90 crafters would unlock some sort of emotes for their classes (see: Alchemist swirling a bottle etc. in the shalrayan part 4:00)
Estiniens attack is bascially just Stardiver, maybe a bit more flashy like the Nidstinien attacks back in HW.
Hate to be pessimistic but not too impressed with the healer demonstration outside of sage. All of them were oh damn shields or something. Can only hope they all have different effects or something.
I feel like the mirrors around PLD are an upgraded form of Sheltron.
Didn't think they were going to remove Egi's. With any luck Egi's will now function as stances: Ifrit single target damage, Garuda AoE, and Titan defensive. That would also remove a decent chunk of buttons since they can just change based on the currently summoned Egi. That movement skill is…weird but we'll see where it goes. If its a gap closer then that might mean that Ifrit changes your skills to be closer ranged, like Dancer. If its a movement skill then it might function like monk's tackle used to, imbued with elements depending on who is summoned. Either way, I am actually kinda starting to get excited about Endwalker now.
I see a lot of people comparing the RDM spell to BLM’s Thunder. Like, ok that’s true RDM doesn’t have a DoT and Thunder is BLM’s DoT, but like, RDM already has Verthunder. I feel the logical step is just to say this is an upgrade to that.
That isn't the normal TBN animation
8:10 Might be an upgraded Sheltron instead
They say or show anything about the farming area stuff ?
Can't wait to dash to my carby
So, my initial thought seeing the new PLD ability was a new version of Hallowed. Then I started thinking "Wait, that makes no sense. Yoshi has stated he thinks Hallowed is too strong, so a new version of it would probably not happen unless it gets nerfed". Then I noticed something else when rewatching the animation for a bit: there is a small healing bubble around the PLD in the middle of the animation, signifying a heal or regen of sorts.
Now, knowing that, I have a few theories.
Number 1 is the easiest: new skill. Can't really say much there. Either flat out mitigation or blocks + either a regen or a small heal.
Number 2 is where it gets interesting: a new version of Sheltron. This is my least likely to happen scenario, mostly because of the DRK skill shown off, but it would basically be Sheltron 2: Electric Boogaloo, where it gives you the standard 6 seconds of blocking everything alongside either a heal or regen effect. This does have potential balance problems however: a heal/regen on about a 25 second cooldown could get very abusable depending on the strength of said heal/regen and what it costs (in this case, it would probably just be Oath Gauge which… doesn't mean much to us as we currently know it). Also, if I am to assume this is our new Sheltron, I would also assume that DRK's skill is the new TBN… and I really doubt TBN is getting an upgrade. It is already the single best non-invul tank cooldown, so unless things are going to hurt real bad this expansion (doubtful, as much as I'd like it), they wouldn't need an upgraded TBN.
Number 3 is: it is a new/upgraded version of Sentinel. This is the one I hope for most. Basically, this and DRK's new skill both would be upgraded versions of Sentinel and Shadow Wall respectively. Mitigation with a heal/regen on PLD's side, mitigation with a shield on DRK's side. Both probably wouldn't still be the 30% migitation those skills currently are, but that is what I'm thinking. Especially since it would separate these buttons from each tank (I'd assume Nebula would get a secondary effect as well) more than they currently are, which they are essentially the same but with WAR reflecting some physical damage.
Obviously, all of these are pure speculation and I have no clue. If I'm right, called it. If I'm not, figures lol
7:58. I know this is a bit far-fetched, but I genuinely think that these two jobs shown having new animations for something defensive means that… both jobs' invulnerability skills are being reworked. This is because on every occasion that somebody brings up Living Dead being notably worse than other tank invulns, YoshiP counters (or even deflects…) by saying he thinks they should nerf Hallowed Ground. He's said that the team is pretty averse to nerfing though, but for an expansion…? I could see it.
The lack of summoners makes me happy that we will get rid of EGIs
Could just be a Proto Omega unit if it was rebuild since they wont have perfected the Allegen tech. and If that IS Vitra, if they are staying loyal to FFXI lore, its she, not he
Lol the jiggle physics is so easy to see in .25x speed
I hope that shotgun blast for mch is a second stage to mch’s aoe combo after spread.
I'm hoping to see an esuna that cures all removable status's on a player, having to spam esuna when you gotta heal on top of that can get to be a huge pain especially when the whole party gets hit with a group wide
They should (and maybe they did with all of thes AE abilities that look like existing single target ones) Give AE "stances"/"auras" to everyone that changes their base attacks into AE abilities to clear out the overly "boring" AE rotation, continue to teach/reward the single target rotation (i.e. the "only" rotation in this case), and to clear those attacks off the hotbars.
Damn, I want to see more Dragoon in action!
r we gonna eat the egi?! like the faeries!
I hope they rework wars nascent flash
I wonder if rdm is getting a thunder as well- kind of like BLM dot- that animation makes me think that for some odd reason
It was Fire III with advanced cast animation.
Those tank skills look like just visually upgraded Ramparts.
